Feels weird to have a second Halloween so soon after the hell-filled one we just went through, but....it'd feel weirder to let the day pass without acknowledging it.

I miss Dad.

In the Slayer 'verse, Halloween's usually pretty dead for the dead. Somehow I don't think Dunwich is gonna chill today. Does anyone?

Would anyone have a decent supply of marigolds?

It's been two weeks and I still feel off-balance every time I see the date and realise my birthday has been and gone. Like standing on the edge of a short drop just about to jump down and never quite doing it, only to realise you're already at the bottom. I think it will be easier in November, when I don't look at a calendar and immediately start trying to make the mathematics work.

Gaming in 2023 is playing a cozy city builder on a literal supercomputer because publishers think optimisation is an optional extra. I'm so glad I was too busy to play games the first time around when I had, you know, the kind of computer a sixteen year old has.

Anyway. Halloween tonight. I've got decorations up and candy for trick or treaters, I just have to decide whether to wear the Barbie costume everyone forgot I had at the party or my supersuit in case I need to shrink or something.

I would like to set up a Dia De Muertos altar for the Finer Things Club on Thursday at MIST. Miguel would be helping me and perhaps Lexa. Hi. Have you started working on your Dia de Muertos alter? I'd like to help.

Have you picked a place for it? I suggest making one at MIST and using the finer things club space for celebrating on Thursday night. We could ask Natasha to let us set up early, I think she'd allow it as long as we're not in the way of the Thursday training. I can make chicken tamales with salsa verde for people to eat. I don't know how to make pan de muerto but I can work from a recipe. We could work on decorations together.

I've never blacked out before, and I've got to say, I'm not a fan. I also feel like I was robbed of some kind of really good party or something, if I was going to forget a weekend I should've at least gotten fucked up for that. I didn't even wake up in bed with a stranger.

It's kind of bullshit.

Me and Marc were supposed to have our second date today. We were supposed to get a cake to share with our friends.
