Gordo had gone outside of his comfort zone, proposed a meeting of minds and given a place and a time later on to those who were interested -- and was very glad that he'd avoided choosing Todash as the spot to meet up because that thing the other day, on the full moon had been...

Kind of a lot.

Plus, pure magic inside of a bar was probably a bad move. Beverly & Co. probably wouldn't forgive any of them if they got out of hand showing off or trying new things in a closed space.

It was fine.

It was an unseasonably warm night, and so Gordo lost his flannel and set up the space in a t-shirt, his tattoos glowing and shifting in the light of newly waning moon.

	Who showed up? Did they bring anything? This isn't remotely a potluck, but it never hurts to make a good impression. What's really important is bringing one concept or idea of something your character might like to learn / accomplish / etc, particularly with the help of others. Eadwulf brought himself, a really big sword* and his wary curiosity about the other participants. He's wearing a jacket, but anyone who saw him at Todash would know that he has mazelike tattoos studded with green crystals on both arms.

Since he spends most of his days here as a ranger, he knows Sidewinder like the back of his hand. He observes the gathering for a bit before joining in.

His goal? To find someone who is able to retrieve a lost memory.

*Currently hidden in a pocket dimension.

Sabrina rocked up in a long black sweater, short red skirt, black leggings and some black boots. Her familiar, Salem, is trailing along with her and will curl up on a log at some point or chase some squirrels, but never actually catch them.

She'll bring some witch hat cookies that she purchased because no one wants to die of food poisoning.

Her goal: make more witchy friends, find people to work with on different spells, and maybe see if anyone's seen anything in Dunwich about a sea god.

MARGO HANSON showed up and brought bottles of wine. Mixed drinks are fun, but better with magic and she's not the type that makes them. Plus wine margaritas are a thing if they run out of alcohol, but someone else can figure that out.

Margo Goals: Find like minded magicians that are (a) fun, (b) fine with getting into trouble, (c) if unable to meet the requirements of A + B, are able to be dragged along anyway by Margo's commanding presence.

JULIA WICKER was kinda lame and just showed up. Unlike Margo in her usual carefully planned designer outfits that are carefully plotted out to give her an air of imperiousness, Julia dresses simply in all black and looks more like a mild mannered barista than a goth.

Julia Goals: Catch anyone up who is not aware that Julia is incapable of magic (for reasons if they must know) and get an idea of how other people's magic works, what their strengths are, since she frequently calls in others to help her with whatever she's working on over as MIST as a researcher.

GORDO LIVINGSTONE Obviously. He arranged the thing. He's got a black t-shirt and jeans on, and his tattoos are magical: you might spot the raven amongst the thorns and roses on his arm moving around and flapping his wings. He's also littered with runes and magical symbols. They glow!

He brought some tequila, a bottle of Chi-Chi's margarita mix and a bag of store brand tortilla chips. Sorry, he's a bit of a redneck.

His goal: Getting the fuck out of dodge. Alternately, forming a few friendships outside of the people he already knows, learning new forms of magic, and solving a few mysteries. Gordo is exceptionally good with Warding as well as Earth based Magics.

JOHN CONSTANTINE John isn't really a group magic guy, but he's slowly learning that in this place, it might not hurt to have a few stronger connections. He's in his usual outfit of white shirt, maroon tie, black slacks and trench coat. John is a self-taught master of most all forms of magic, but really excels in demonology, the occult, and spell casting.
He bright nothing, unless you count a never-ending pack of cigarettes. Which you might?

His goal: Figuring out a way to be un-cursed by the Church while also not at all being able to talk about it. He's not optimistic. Alternately, making friends and getting into trouble.

LOKI LAUFEYSON Loki is a curious sort and has decided they need to branch out more. Pining, being bored and working at the front desk of the place they live is kind of just a bad look. So they're here to make friends and mingle. They brought a bottle of wine and no cups.
Loki is a sorcerer who excels in illusion magics, shapeshifting, spell casting and some conjuring, amongst other things.

Their goals: Being nosy, making friends, starting and or getting into trouble.

DAIMON HELSTROM Black on black on jet black.
- Daimon has expertise in demonology and demonic magic, as well as can read demonic naturally. He'd like to discuss such things and the varied ways demons exist in other worlds.

EZREAL wears a short brown leather jacket and steel blue t-shirt and distressed brown leather pants. He also has a pair of goggles around his neck, that when asked helps protect and see from certain magical auras. His pale blue markings on his cheeks glow with magic as well as the gem in the bracer on his arm.
- He wants to learn it all and is secretly vying to get help figuring out his own magic without the gauntlet's help.
- He will talk on all things Magic-infusing into technology and the way his world approached it as well as Hex Crystals and their magical significance in the technological advancements of his hometown.

DAN TORRANCE is wearing his typical sweater and t-shirt combo and jeans. He's not all too social and will be that awkward kid sitting alone until someone approaches him.
- He is open to helping those who are more psychic-leaning to access their abilities and hopes to maybe cultivate actual friendships.

Stephen debated on whether or not to dress in full sorcerer regalia, but decided not to be a show off and came wearing 'normal' clothes. The Cloak of Levitation was transformed as a scarf that he wore casually around his neck.

He saw the invitation when it was posted last week, but even the idea of writing and responding made him tired. He'd been tired a lot, recently, some days being better than others. Today was one of the other days, where he felt... not fully himself, but well enough to get outside and be social. He brought a bottle of tequila to share, and a bag of salt and vinegar potato chips that he grabbed as an afterthought at the shop, because who didn't like to snack?

There were talks about having gatherings of magic users before, and as a sorcerer he sort of felt obligated. But he was also curious about what would be said and done, and didn't want to miss out.

Mallory arrived on her own, wearing a long black dress with sheer sleeves and a gold buckle, and matching gold star headband. Everything about her look and movement tends to say elegant. She brought like a layered dip and chips to go with it. She's there to meet more people, especially witches, but really anyone. There's no specific magic skill she hopes to learn yet, but by talking to people about their worlds she might find something.

Rory arrived because Sabrina was like 'you're going to this.' She flew into the party (wings) and dropped down at the edge of the gathering. Rory's wearing black docs, black cargo pants, and a dark red tye die shirt with an assortment of silver rings and necklaces. She's looking for more fun people to hang out, possible hot girls to hit on, and magic stuff too, she supposes. She only recently discovered the gifts she's inherited from her dad, so she's learning to wield fire and telekinesis at the moment. She brought ingredients for some easy rum cocktails.

RICHIE TOZIER Is not magic. But like, he's got mind powers? Anyway, he's just a social lil guy who feels like he hasn't been social enough lately. He's got the Shine, so he's like, a lil psychic.
He brought one of those big ass bags of cheese popcorn you can buy at the grocery store.

His goals: Continue to practice and get better with his Shine -- maybe see if he can do more than just psychic stuff. He'd love to learn some of the telekinetic aspect of the Shine, if possible. Alternately, he's here to hang out with his homies and make new homies.

DIANA BISHOP arrives with a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine. She's semi casual- jeans, a striped shirt and blazer. Her hair is pulled back, and anyone paying attention would see the almost tattoo-like markings on her hands- ribbons of color that shimmer from her fingers through her palms up under her sleeves.

She has..a lot of powers. She sees magic as threads and can weave them to create new spells, elemental magic (witch wind, witch fire, and witch water), flight (short distances), limited teleportation, limited telepathy, second sight/visions, necromancy (limited at this point), and the creation/ending of life. She can also sense if people have powers or She also hosts the coven, but it isn't hierarchical, and it's open to anybody if they wish to join.

Goals: Friends, networking, figuring out ways to protect the MISTakes and she had also been researching the town to see if anything like this had happened before- that was confirmed by the time capsules, but she's still looking for any evidence of why it happens and how people return home.

Lux is here as she said she would be. She's a good friend, okay, she's doing her best. She does not think her magic is particularly helpful for trying to escape and honestly Lux doesn't want to leave this world, not that that is something she advertises. But she's here anyway, and there may be a small amount of showing off her magic upon request.

GOALS: ~~To make Gordo love her.~~ To network, brainstorm, and generally make new connections? ~~It's mostly about Gordo tbh~~

Quentin Coldwater he's here, he's queer, he's gonna watch folks and see what's up. For all that he'll snark at you on the net, he's not hugely social, so he's there staying out of the way and watching folks mostly. He's a magician, it's basically magic users but make it for nerds. Which works pretty well for a nerd like him. He's just happy to be here, and to meet some more magic type folks. His special talent is mending lol.

Q's goals: He'd love to do something with that ghost line, make it bigger, push it back, make it stop being such a jerk and kicking them out of their bodies, maybe we should work on that guys?

Abra showed up. She considers her shine to be magic. She brought non-alcoholic drinks - pop, juice. She'll talk about her powers - https://asincadabra.insanejournal.com/1115.html#cutid1 . If anyone seems interested, she'll show off a little too. She's very proud of her shine.

Goals - to share coping techniques for dealing with blocking out thoughts, scary visions, headaches, and other drawbacks of psychic abilities. She'll also offer to help people in using psychic abilities. She has 15 years of experience. And simply meeting new people, connecting with those she already knows, etc.

Poppet turned up with a selection of pastries to share. No, she did not make them herself.

She doesn't have any particular goals other than mingling, but aside from her ability to see the future (which isn't working well here for OOC reasons) she has learned some minor magic and wouldn't mind learning more. She's familiar with both instinctual casting and a more academic form since the forced artificial conflict between the two styles is basically the basis for the whole book.

Surprisingly Julien actually turned up to this despite having no interest in the coven itself. He's happy to network, he just naturally doesn't gravitate to organised groups.

Primarily his healing magic has been much more use here than his combat spells so that's probably the skillset he'll focus on in discussion. While his magic is divinely sourced rather than arcane (think DND cleric/paladin vs sorcerers who study their spells), he does have a good grasp of magical theory since he has a fairly academic background so it wouldn't be too difficult for him to understand at least the concepts behind different systems.

Yennefer came to scope things out. If this is a party, she's not against it, but she'd rather talk magic and what they can do with it. She is dressed to the nines (but with boots), because mages kind of do that in her world. Especially if it's a meeting of mages.

She's looking to figure out a way to create untraceable portals in this realm. She could have done so with feainnewedd, but that only gets you so far. What's she's looking for is a way to bust out of this prison, something a little more like Vilgefortz's portals.
