Dunwich: A Creepypasta Panfandom Game

We've had enough sightings and kidnappings going around that I'm formally activating the MIST Emergency Protocols. I know we still have to work, and still want to go out, so I'm asking those in Search and Rescue, Fighting, and Magic divisions to offer themselves here on this post if people need someone to go with them to school, work, the bar, your shopping. I realize it's not as glamorous as full on fighting these things, but you never know when something is going to come back.

If you run into anything out there, please give us as detailed of a description — visuals, smells, sounds, anything — as you can give. Locations. If you managed to injure it. If you managed to kill it, bring it back to MIST would be ideal so we can study it.

We've got a sighting of some kinda... monster thing and all this mist, let's be vigilant people. It's another month in Dunwich. More months, more problems as we've seen so far.

That feeling when the peace meeting you're trying to run dissolves into utter chaos because apparently both sides needed to come armed to the teeth to said peace meeting and be complete assholes about shit that went down three hundred years ago, only to get pulled through some weird ass mist that apparently you were the only one to see because no one answered when you were all "oh hey I know you all want to murder each other right now but anyone else see this mist coming from freaking nowhere???" Only to find yourself unceremoniously dumped into the middle of the woods and oh hey, don't let me forget to mention the creepy ass thing in the woods. Like it was kind of cute, I guess? But in that way of oh boy I've been fooled before by this kind of cuteness, that is only cute until the moment it decides to try to eat your face, cute.

Is this a Monday thing? I haven't really been anywhere that uses Monday as a date for a while but this feels like something that would be a thing when you say it's Monday with a deep sigh like the universe has just decided this is the day all the shit things happen on.

HELLO! Pretty psyched about having my own phone. It's not a Rotom, which I found out when it didn't levitate, but still cool. What matters is that it's my size, and even better, you humans can understand me!

So, okay, maybe I shouldn't have get the really wet egg that I got for Christmas. But it wasn't moving, and I couldn't hear anything inside it, so I didn't think destroying it was a big priority, right?

I was so wrong.

This morning, it opened up. I swear, I thought the thing inside was going to make me a pod person, but Jeff popped out. Jeff, this is everyone. Everyone, this is Jeff.

'Round a year ago, I get an offer to help the multiverse or whatever, and I join up with The Infinite Agency. Barely been there a couple weeks when there's a big storm, then a mist and people start seeing and hearing people they think they know in it, and some of us disappear. Then there's these big monsters in it that most of us fight, and a group of us show up here, only not everyone remembers being there.

I aint saying that'll happen again, but like...just in case, might wanna prep yourself.

Is it just me or is it getting colder with the creepy mist?

If you live out near or plan to do anything out in Sidewinder, please be careful. Something is out there, and it's left a lot of blood loud and it's fast. There's a trail of blood and I couldn't find the source. It definitely couldn't hurt to travel in pairs.

With the start of a new year, and the party earlier this week, I just wanted to take this moment to let those who aren't aware know that I'm Dr. Theo Crain, and I'm a psychiatrist.

I work at MIST and I'm a "MISTake" like the rest of you, so unlike town therapists, I'll believe you and I'll understand what you're dealing with. I still have plenty of times available on my calendar, so you can reach out to me to make an appointment for regular sessions, or drop by the office anytime my door is open. For those who are on more of a nocturnal schedule, I can do house calls or meet at the office in the evenings, when needed.

And even if you don't want to be a patient of mine, or don't want the formality of a session, or don't want to talk to a therapist at all, I'm free to lend an ear; or at the very least, find a friend that you can open up to. None of us have to deal with any of this alone.


Now if only I could find a shrink of my own...

You know what's fun?

I went back to work today and everything at the Carbunkle house is like it should be. The library is put together like none of us nearly bled out to death in that room or had multiple bookshelves hurled at us. I didn't go into the basement but one of my coworkers did and was perfectly fine coming out of it.

And none of them recall just blinking out of the party because of course they don't. They're completely convinced they just headed home at like 12:30 and the night ended beautifully.

But I'm also 100% sure Father Evil smirked at me in the line for coffee this morning. So.

'Rude' doesn't quite suit. I was with my friend and now I'm not, and that makes me angry. That makes me keen to meet that next level rudeness with a spot of my own. So, the answer had better be palatable because I've not even gotten to the absence of my ship on top of all else.

So Thursday, 21 December, is the start of Yule for me. The first night is to celebrate mothers. So I wanted to invite all of you to come over to my house to do that. It's mostly baking cookies (aka I will get Daimon to bake them and we will decorate/eat them). Lighting candles to honor moms or women in our lives who've helped us along the way.

Plus wine.

Because all celebrations should have wine.
