My mind has still been a bit fixated on that reel that I watched on Wednesday night. It was...something, though I hope I never have to watch a musical about life in Panem, again.

Then again, they'd probably try for something crazier than that.

I'm Abigail.  I'm in the college library, looking at movies with music, because I like music. 

I found a couple musicals, called Mockingjay, parts I and 2. They have characters in them with your names and that look like you.  I didn't make the connection right away, I don't really know any of you.   I stopped watching when I did.  not really  If it helps, I doubt anyone else saw it before me.  You have to book a special room with a certain projector to watch reels. No one really bothers.

I can try to sneak the reels out of the library so you can do what you like with them.  

I know about violence, brainwashing and dying too.

Anyone here swim? I've been hitting up the pool most mornings. They got a pretty nice one here, saltwater instead of chlorine so you don't smell all weird after ever after a shower. Would be cool to have some company if anyone wants to get their lane swim on.

You know, I really have to say that I haven't lived in a community this kind in years. Back in St Olaf, when I went into labor during a town picnic for The Day of Wheat, Lucky Gunther and a number of townsfolk helped me out. Lucky only had one arm and replaced the other with a pair of forceps, and handed corn out at these picnics. When I went into labor, he already had the water boiled for the corn and was so kind as help me deliver, and to butter and salt my daughter once she was born! All this while we all were dressed like sandwiches. I like to think that you all might do the same here if it was ever needed.

All this to say, thank you to everyone who has helped me over the last week or so. I've very much enjoyed getting to chat with and know you at the front desk the last couple of days!

Speaking from experience, Angel fever is no joke. Don't be a dumb-ass like me.

Actually, it's probably just been me who's been dumb-assering about it so far.

PANEMDEMONIUM + ISABEL + MERCY Hey. I wanted to let you all know that Coby has had better days - he's in the hospital right now. I'm guessing it's Angel Fever. Haymitch is bringing him some stuff and Mercy (new girl, also on this filter, hi Mercy!) is there with him. If his brain is as melty as mine was, he's probably not all there right now and he may not even remember that you visited but you should try to make it a point to get over there, anyway. I remember being really confused and scared and nothing took the edge off of that like a familiar face. Oh! And if there's anyone else who you think should know, feel free to tell them.

I'm Maysilee. This place truly is different from Panem and District 12. I guess no one knows how or why we were brought here? It's strange, right? You'd think if someone were behind this they'd eventually show themselves.

If I had a nickle for every time I got pulled into a town by a mysterious force, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

When I went to go fishing this morning, I got greeted by what looks like lobster-like Mutts.

I get the feeling that I'm not in District 4 anymore. But where's Annie?

ARRIVAL

The thick, ghastly haze of the mist, once practically opaque to the naked eye, fades and opens up to a nostalgic homegrown New England town. A friendly gazebo, freshly painted white sits on a neatly mown lawn at the center of the town square. Vehicles stop at the redlight while locals cross the street, birds chirp in the trees, and a school bus stops to pick up a few children in oversized backpacks. Pedestrians walk by you without a second glance. Did they not see you suddenly appearing out of nowhere? How could they not have noticed that all encompassing fog? And why doesn’t your obviously otherworldly attire catch their attention? This appears to be a small, close knit community. And it’s clear you’re not from around these parts.

But these are simply the first of many mysteries you’re about to discover.

The further you investigate your new surroundings, the more ominous this seemingly quaint and colloquial town becomes. There’s something dark beneath its pleasant guise. You can’t shake the chill at the back of your neck and the sense that someone—or something—is watching you. Then there’s the odd graffiti on the alleyway walls and the way the locals talk about certain locations. And while the mist is gone, there are places in town that make you reminisce about the mist. Places that feel supernaturally thin. Thin enough to let in whispers from the other side. Or maybe even screams.

And don’t worry if you hear laughter or the jingling chimes of carnival coming from the rain gutters in the street. That’s just your imagination. There’s nothing down there.

Nothing that floats.
