Bored.

So I feel kind of bad about how much this sucks for everyone else, but not being able to smell is hilarious to me. There was an epic explosion of perfume bottles at the club last night and now they all think I'm some sort of iron man who can withstand anything.

(I don't still smell like a bad combination of that Britney Spears stuff, lily of the valley, and $3000-a-bottle Chanel, thank god. I might not be able to smell it but I'm pretty sure the staff would strike again if I came home smelling like that.)

If I wasn't already so utterly unimpressed with the company, I might actually find this place interesting.

As it stands, however...

I can't smell. Anything.

This isn't as bad as it could be, though. After all, I can still see and hear. And feel. I don't know how anyone would go about coping with losing that one in particular. The worst thing about mine is that my food doesn't taste right either.

On the bright side, though, it's perfect for the job I've got. After all, I can go in anywhere at the moment and clear it out. More money, if I volunteer to clean the places that nobody else will go. I just have to remember to have a proper shower each evening when I get back, and make sure to use deodorant. Just because I can't smell doesn't mean other people can't.

All in all, though, I'm okay with it. If anyone else needs any help, I'll do what I can. Just let me know.

[Whole message also read onto voice mail for the benefit of anyone who might not be able to see]

I think I can't smell anything, which worries me only the slightest bit but not half as much as anyone losing their ability to feel or see or even hear. Losing a taste isn't too bad and I would be more worried for everyone if I thought this was a real epidemic caused from some sort of disease but from what I can tell things of this odd nature happen every so often to the residents so...

Anyhow, should anyone feel as if the the loss of symptoms is more than that I'm happy to do house calls and be of any assistance.

What a funny place! At first I thought perhaps I was back at Hogwarts and this was a lucid dream (and maybe it still is and maybe our whole existence is just one long dream?) because when I stepped out into the hall it was covered in the most familiar decorations! Green and Silver! Did Slytherin win the house cup?? But how odd that I, a Ravenclaw, would dream such a thing!

Then it occurred to me that perhaps this was no dream as I found this funny little muggle device near my bedside table and a scroll that seemed apt in explaining this place as best as it could.

It does not explain where Luna went off to, however, as I woke up alone. It also does not explain why I awoke to nightfall when I don't care to sleep through the whole day very much.

I wonder if Luna even came with me, and for that matter who took me if this was a matter of taking? And what sort of place collects people other than a museum of people? Maybe this is real life and the life before this was all a strange dream I've been having for years and..

Don't mind me, just thinking out loud! This is such a delightful piece of technology! Muggles are so very inventive, aren't they? I suppose this contacts others collected here, as well? Anyone I know?

This castle needs hidden passageways. Or else I need to be looking harder although now that I'm not exhausted all the time, I might find some. It's amazing how different things look when you get seven hours sleep every night instead of two at the most. If there aren't any hidden passageways, I'm happy to get started on making some. If people want to pay me to find/make secret passageways, I would be very happy for that to happen.

Also, I want butterbeer.

I brought more bread back from the bakery. It's in the kitchen and anyone is free to use it.

Bike or car - which would be the better option for me to steal get?

[Thomas]
Thomas! You bundle of untapped resources, you hairdresser you - my tresses need trussing and I'm curious to see what talents you have!

Also, have you made up your mind on my spare room?

Voice/Video

[Have a sparkly little man peering into the window, much too close to the screen. He taps on the glass--as if there might really be someone on the other side--and tries to sound authoritative]

Who summoned me? And what is this mortal ferromancy?

[The tone abruptly changes to one of excited curiosity as he is clearly distracted with the room around him]

Do I really get a whole room to myself? Is there...wait!

Who are you?!

[Have another sparkly little man flitting about the room, nearly identical to, but about half the size of the first]

Ask them if they have pizza!

Empty night. I don't need a Mini-Me wandering around!

Cute. Very cute. A phone that won't connect to real numbers and an Internet connection that won't email proper addresses? Much more subtle than usual. I think even Lara would be impressed.
