So, I guess I had a fresh start on Monday. I had missed a call Friday from the newspaper, thankfully I didn't lose the spot. I get to work part-time there now, between that and homework... I should stay nice and busy. I've been.. really out of touch lately with most of you. ..Sorry. I'm still here. Don't have any choice otherwise in that. What have I missed?

I am so relieved that this week has been a little easier. Work is all caught up and I even got to come home early which is always nice. So before I went to go and pick up Alex I ran some errands and took a small nap. Now I feel refreshed and ready to have some fun with my son. I swear I spoil him way too much.

Some of you may or may not know this, but I work as a communications coordinator for the Alliance of Global Justice. We're going to be hosting a charity ball in the next couple of weeks, and I wanted to extend the invitation to everyone in the castle!

I'm working on making personal invitations. However, considering I unfortunately do not know everyone who lives in the castle, I thought first it'd probably be best if I just try to get a head count of those who may be interested in attending. From there I can make the personalized invitations.

It will take place Friday, April 19 at 6pm over at the convention center. Tickets cost $15 each - to try to be reasonably priced - and the plates of food will vary from as low as $5 to as high as $30 depending on what you order. All proceeds will go to a local women's shelter. I'm inviting castle residents, but others in the city will be in attendance as well. Dress is formal.

If you are unable to attend but still would like to donate, you can contact me and I will set you up with that as well. All who attend and donate will have their name placed in a final list that will be given to the women's shelter as well.

I promise that even if you attend and donate to this I won't continue to bother you for more money. I just thought to put the offer out there for everyone.

I forgot to mention that there will be a string band, made up of students from the music department of the university that will accompany the guests in dancing, as well as light music to listen to while you converse with each other.

Ugh, what a busy day it has been today. Work was definitely really busy today at the office, I think I am all filed out. Now I'm sitting here with Alex while he plays with his toys and crawling all around. I could really use a foot rub or a massage right now. I think its just going to be a relaxing night, when I get my son down I'm going to have a nice relaxing bubble bath with a glass of wine and soft music. Now that sounds about perfect!

I was not aware that people had the ability to leave here and return home.

I wish I knew how to do that.

I'm a Starfleet communications officer. I can't believe there's no way to es Is the primary language spoken here English? It seems to be what I've heard the most in passing.

I am not particularly fond of the idea of returning to the University to resume my work after all the attacks. I realize it has been a few days since the attacks have stopped. Though being able to leave the castle again would be nice.

Though I am glad the members of the staff are back.

I am glad you and your son are safe.

Can I just say that I am really thrilled to have the staff back. There are things that I can cook and then there are things that I just completely burn. I don't eat meat but when cooking for friends and they want the stuff I try cooking it. Yeah it came out really crispy and it set on fire too. I stopped it if course but I think I'm going to stick to foods that I can actually cook and eat.

I didn't die this time. I've decided this means our captors have grown tired of my reactions to such things. Thoughts?

It's official. My brain has officially cracked.

I went to sleep in one of the decent hotels in Manhattan that wasn't knocked down to rubble and I woke up in a CASTLE. Either Loki left behind a hex that we didn't realize or...NOPE, I'm going with the hex. Nothing else makes sense.

And I can't BELIEVE that I'm entertaining the notion of magic.

Not that this castle room isn't nice and all, but it's not home. And it doesn't have Pepper. There a way for me to get home?

I suspect it's a good thing I have requested cooking lessons, as it appears as though the staff refuses to cook meals now... And I do not believe I can live off fruit and yogurt for however long this is going to last.

I am looking for help with something. As it turns out, my job at the University consists of long hours, and I rarely arrive back to the castle in time for the dinner prepared by the staff here. I was wondering if someone could help me with learning the basics of cooking. I have never had to cook before in my life, so I am afraid I know very little.

I'm a dude again. It's good to be back. I might miss the multiples. ...

We don't have to ever talk about how I was a pretty girl ever again, cool? Cool.

Teaching at the University is not exactly what I expected, but I suspect it is better than any other job I could have gotten in this place. Half of the students do not appear to want to be there, and the other half are extremely talkative. I suppose that could be a good thing, about the second half, though...

How did the date go? Do you feel up to having dinner with me one night?

I knew that taking courses at the university with the travel ahead in time I did was going to be challenging. But I am nothing if not determined to meet this challenge head-on. Mechanical engineering is a bit different than how I learned it originally.

Though at least I did not have crumpled paper thrown at me because I was not properly paying attention.

I managed to acquire the necessary paperwork to start my employment at the University. I start when the start of term does, and I will be teaching French and Latin.

This will be interesting.
