What a funny place! At first I thought perhaps I was back at Hogwarts and this was a lucid dream (and maybe it still is and maybe our whole existence is just one long dream?) because when I stepped out into the hall it was covered in the most familiar decorations! Green and Silver! Did Slytherin win the house cup?? But how odd that I, a Ravenclaw, would dream such a thing!

Then it occurred to me that perhaps this was no dream as I found this funny little muggle device near my bedside table and a scroll that seemed apt in explaining this place as best as it could.

It does not explain where Luna went off to, however, as I woke up alone. It also does not explain why I awoke to nightfall when I don't care to sleep through the whole day very much.

I wonder if Luna even came with me, and for that matter who took me if this was a matter of taking? And what sort of place collects people other than a museum of people? Maybe this is real life and the life before this was all a strange dream I've been having for years and..

Don't mind me, just thinking out loud! This is such a delightful piece of technology! Muggles are so very inventive, aren't they? I suppose this contacts others collected here, as well? Anyone I know?

	It's not a lucid dream, and we're not really sure how we get here. People just wake up here one day. And the hall decorations are probably the work of the resident Slytherins. They're being very smug about it on the network, at least. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	How peculiar! What else do you know of this place? Who brought us here? Are they friendly? They seem very accommodating at any rate. So there are Slytherins here? It's not such a bad colour scheme, really, but I wonder how long it will be before Gryffindor decides they won't have any more of it. I'm Rolf, by the way, what's your name, mate? So far we haven't been able to work out who brought us here. The place consists of this castle, where we get lodgings and food free of charge, the surrounding forest/mountains/et cetera (by the way, mind the dragons in the mountains), there's a city not too far away that seems pretty big.

Our kidnappers don't seem unfriendly, just not exactly present.

And yeah, there seem to be some Slytherins, and a fair few Gryffindors who aren't happy with the colour scheme.

Thomas Raith. By the by, there are people from all sorts of realities here, not just yours. Wizards exist where I'm from, but not the same sort of wizards as go to Hogwarts. It's complicated; you'll pick it up as you go along.

	Interesting, what an odd situation to be in! Dragons you say? A reserve, perhaps? I'll have to find a way to take a look, has anyone detected the particular species? Do they tend to keep to themselves or do they roam near the castle? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	They fly about here and there. Haven't caused any trouble, so I don't think anyone's really gone out of their way to find them. I doubt it's a reserve, though, they seem pretty wild. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Ah, dragons in their natural habitat? I've seen Romanian Longhorns in their natural habitat which happens to be the mountains so it is possible this breed is the same. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Certainly is, Thomas, and I've got the scars to prove it! As long as this breed is watchable! Most are, but some are extremely territorial and it takes a large team working several charms to make one dragon sleepy enough to even take samples of their shed scales and the like. 	Oh they do? That might mean they are also fairly used to the area despite there being a human population so nearby but that doesn't mean they are any less aggressive, they're just adapting. 	I'll have to figure out if my curiosity about dragons outweighs my self-preservation instinct, but thanks for the invite. Might take you up on it just to get out of the castle for a bit. 	It's disconcerting to find the people we love younger. I'm having a small issue with my dad and his finding out I was in Slytherin instead of his house, Gryffindor. Yes, they are your and Luna's sons. They're younger than me, but they got on well at Hogwarts. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I can understand why he'd have an issue considering his family and the struggle they had with the majority of the house alumni but...

Considering he is apparently younger he hasn't had a chance to grow into the father you may recall being more okay with your house. I don't care what house Lorcan or Lysander ended up in, or if they were magical at all but that's me. I can't say the same for Luna, we hadn't yet discussed it.

Merlin, I can't believe I'm even saying it! Luna and I have two boys! That's spirit lifting news!

Yeah, and from what I can gather he's from just after the big war that is only in history books for me. Logically I can understand where he's coming from, but it's still hard on the emotional side.

There's no bad house, in my opinion. I mean, they even pair up houses for some classes so we still intermingle and get along alright together.
