Network comm for The Land of Make Believe

So waking up was was a bit of a shock this morning.

It's lovely to know that the castle is kind enough to include those of us who don't even live there in its little games.

Why the hell can't I hear anything? Is the castle dicking about again?

Oh, this is just bloody wonderful.

It's hard to believe that in less than four weeks, I will have been here for two full years. For all the ups and downs, I still don't want to go back.

I hated Christmas when I was a kid.

My mom was dead, my dad was never around, and my brother...well, let's just say he's grown up a lot since those days.

This year, I have a husband to celebrate with. My brother is here, and I have a beautiful sister-in-law. I have an honorary brother, and I'm surrounded by friends.

That's what Christmas is all about.

What is that green weed looking thing near my room?

And why, when I walked by it, I had the sudden urge to kiss someone?

Nobody come near me--I am wrangling mistletoe!

With this power, I find myself now wanting to play this 'Monopoly', if only to find out why it is funny to turn paper into the money from it. Does anyone know where I could find it, and learn this game?

Eames is heckling the tv again.

I went out earlier, dressed on this day of all days in my robes, and was given a very odd hat. I think it was more jest than meaningful, but it is still rather odd.

I believe I will enjoy taking Halloween in this new world, even if it is different from home.

Okay, so I have some kites, some paper planes and some baseballs and I'm heading down to the park. Anyone who feels like a game is welcome to join.

Spilling salt on the table first thing during the work day is probably a sign that I should go home, right? Seriously. First salt shaker I went to fill, I dumped half the salt on the table.

Watching the show got to me. I really do mean that I won't watch it anymore. It's not worth messing up what I have here, and I let it do that.

I've about finished unpacking. There are still a lot of open areas because I've yet to get something to clutter them up with, but it's nice in that sense. It's organized, neat. But it also means it's the best time to have people over before it gets cluttered.

I was thinking that it would be good to have a belated housewarming/early Halloween party this Saturday starting at 7 pm, tentatively. (If anything weird happens on Halloween, this way there's a dose of fun ahead of time anyhow.) I'll have pizza, soda, some sweets and other stuff. Bring your own beverage if you want alcoholic (and are old enough to drink it - no underage drinking will be allowed.) Costumes are optional, but encouraged.

Consider this an open invite to all castle and former castle residents, but RSVP required so I know what to plan for as far as guests go. I've got enough room that I don't think it should be an issue.

If anyone sees a white cat with big, golden eyes, do say hello. Her name is Gilstorpoth, and she is a companion of mine. She and I have worked out a spell for the bottom of my chamber doors, so that she may come and go as she likes.
