I'm aware that this isn't the best time for a lot of people, but I need to speak with someone who understands and can potentially manipulate human memory or the processing thereof. The matter is somewhat urgent important.

I think I had a false contraction...but I'm not sure. What's the difference?

I still can't hear, but that doesn't seem to hinder my ability to find a job. The manager at the movie theater in the village was looking for a projectionist, and didn't seem to mind that I couldn't hear.

It is my understanding that this... malady is passing for some? Hopefully my hearing will return before I have to start work next week. I would hate to attempt to understand movies without hearing them. It's bad enough they are not in French, but to assume I can hear them, when I can't? Mon dieu. I don't think I can do that.

Life has achieved a new level of weird.

Also, Sam's sight has come back. So yours will too, sooner or later.

It's nice to be able to see again. I can't say I liked living without it. Makes you certainly appreciate it more. I'm glad I was able to keep my sense of smell though, it made it much easier to tell if things in the refrigerator were close to spoiling.

Um, could anyone kindly explain to me what exactly is going on here? This little introduction hasn't been all that helpful.
