We know that Mette isn't one for big centre of attention things, but we get so few things to celebrate that I don't want this to pass. Since we don't have class, I'm going to suggest Thursday late afternoon that we do a little get together. What she does want to do is keep testing her power - so I'm suggesting we get together for snacks, drinks and a bunch of lying based games for a couple of hours. Less of a giant focus on her and she still gets to have fun.

I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to every person who worked so hard, at risk to their own lives, to help save our lost brothers and sisters. It was my honour to serve with every one of you. It is my prayer that we shall never have to do it again.

My name is Qamar, and I am from Palestine. I am sure many of you have read of my coming in the news before my arrival this morning. I am here against my will, like many of you, but I think this place is certainly preferable to military imprisonment. I am quite excited to meet other Vols and interact with our growing global community, and I hope we can learn much from each other.

I have been told I will be on 'Team Loon', so if anyone from this group would like to fill me in on details that would be most appreciated.

As a note on my name -- the Arabic 'q' can be quite difficult for Westerners to pronounce, so please feel free to say 'Khamar' or simply 'Amar', as I will answer to either.
