dear friends: did you know today is coralie's birthday? no? i didn't either until just now! how do i know, you wonder? there is nothing quite like being treated to the ridiculously loud sounds of birthday spankings while doing your homework. but nolan, you say as you recoil away from your computer screen, why are you telling us this? why must we know?

you know, it's so hard to believe people can cheat so easily. i mean, you have a responsibility! an obligation! people will get hurt! AND YET. do people not think? DO THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS REALLY NOT OCCUR TO THEM?




i simply can't believe jj abrams would do this! how could he leave star trek for star wars? after all trek has given him? and he betrays it this way? does he REALIZE how this will affect star wars vs. star trek arguments? i'm just so shocked. so hurt. hold me, someone.

is solitary confinement still in the cards for people who don't go to class? is solitary confinement still a thing? they've been rather quiet on that front, although i imagine it's because we've mostly all conformed to the rules and what not.

so i reckon the chip will either become mandatory or they're never going to let us leave.

FRIENDS. i must humbly ask your assistance in wooing saras a girl who doesn't have a lot of experience with being wooed/dating/what have you.

what the hell were they feeding george cooper? was he on steroids or something? mutant growth hormones? i realize we all have varying levels of control over our powers, but how did he turn into some sort of omnipotent nightmare lord while the rest of us are -- well, not weak, but certainly not as strong as him.

you know, i don't really think anything UNSPEAKABLY HORRIBLE will happen with the chips, but you have to admit, there's a lot of potential here. i mean, anyone who knows anything about the x-files knows about scully's abduction. what did she get from that abduction? well, there was a little chip planted in the back of her neck and, oh, i don't know, TERMINAL CANCER. but they could do a lot of things with these chips. i don't want to be the one to suggest anything as drastic as mind control, but what about the fact that they could eventually release tiny nanobots into our bloodstream to take control of our bodies? that's what slade did to robin in teen titans and or they could could just use it to get information about what makes us tick. OR they could be working on a way to deactivate our powers all at once? or they could be extracting dna via these chips and using them to create evil clones i mean, i don't want to suggest they're using the chips to get their own "mewto strikes back" going on here, but it's completely possible.

in other news, american chocolate is really very terrible.

an "onsite permanent detention center," huh? that seems alarming. not that anika wasn't alarming, but surely i'm not the only person raising an eyebrow here.

DEVON WHY I THOUGHT WE HAD SOMETHING REALLY SERIOUS GOING ON

alright, alright. so we have flight and laser eyes and duplicating and telekinesis and all those boring powers, but where are the REAL LEGITIMATE SUPERPOWERED BEINGS I'VE BEEN WAITING TO SEE ALL MY LIFE? these are the things i want to see here at IVI. no, LET ME TAKE THAT BACK. here are the powers IVI needs to become the School for Gifted Youngsters it's trying so hard to be:

- the ability to use your arms as clubs.
- the ability to have your DIGESTIVE SYSTEM replaced by semi-sentient slugs.
- the ability to have a telepathic connection with a sentient skateboard. (spoiler alert: it kills you.)
- the ability to be MADE OF BEES. bonus points if you're a nazi.

i'm considering going on a hunger strike until the vols with these powers make themselves known. thoughts?

SO. FELLOW STUDENTS, I'D LIKE TO DISCUSS A CERTAIN TOPIC WITH YOU THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO BE TROUBLED BY: the mysterious "staff building" we aren't allowed to go into.

now, at first you may think nothing of its plain exterior with the little sign that says it's for staff only. maybe it's just a state of the art break room. maybe it's where they keep their enchanted rose/magic mirror dual pack. maybe they host orgies there. who knows. however, if i have learned anything from years of being a self-proclaimed pop culture aficionado, i believe the "staff building" is just a front for a more INSIDIOUS PURPOSE.

let's discuss. what do you think they're keeping in the west wing? i'm 99.9% sure it's where they're going to cage us up and make us fight for sport.

it has come to my attention that some people find the twin beds a bit limiting. for a mere $10, i am willing to duplicate one bed per room. you know, in case you need lots of SPACE while sleeping. or for other things. PLEASE NOTE it'll make the room a bit cramped, so your roommate has to be on board.

future annoyed roommates, i'm willing to make the double bed go away for an additional fee.
