It was a great vacation until we got into Idaho. Fucking love San Francisco, had a fantastic time in Portland with Jack and the snow wasn't even too bad to drive through. Even before I got shipped out to Australia, it had been like, 2 years since I'd done a car trip with my sister Kim.

Between bouts of sleeping in the car while she drove, I got to listen to the whole of Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. I have been chick lit'd.

This is me testing the camera when we got pulled over. Yeah. Soon as we crossed the border the PD was on our tail. They tried really hard to find probable cause and luckily had an actual crime to go eat donuts at before too long.

And THEN when I got home, I got the really bad news: my baby is gone :( Too many cars to move. FML.

So, I didn't get to go on a Turned 18, Just Before College Roadtrip, so I'm making up for it this winter! Part 1 will be with my sister, Part 2 with the whole family and Part 3 just me and my little brother (though with my older brother from Las Vegas to Phoenix). I'm going to get all the truck-bonding time I can get in before I go back to the motorless hell hole that is IVI!
