so i know we're all saying goodbye and everything but. i just wanted to let everyone know that even despite everything, I'm glad met you guys even though the whole situation sucked. it's going to be weird when in a few days we're all apart even though we've all just met a year ago. i know that while we were here we were always like this time last year we were doing this with this person but in the next year i know i know that i'll be going, man this time last year i was playing laser tag or i was watching the superbowl and we played beyonce bingo. you guys changed my life and i am really glad that we are one big not always happy vol family.

i debated sending this out via email or posting it on the network, but i figure might as well. jonas and devon are in solitary so they're not like kidnapped or whatever. and they definitely deserved it.

alright everyone.

so today is selection sunday. well it will be tomorrow for us, but jodi and i are setting up a NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET CONTEST. if you have never done this before or have no idea what i am talking about, it's basically the top 65 teams in college bball are picked and play each other. and lots of people fill out brackets. it's basically college basketball on crack/better than christmas for anyone who likes college sports.

if you are interested in playing, come and find me. brackets must be filled out by the start of the first game on thursday (us time - friday for us). the prize is a $50 amazon gift card, bragging rights for a whole year, 3 extra drink tickets, and baked goods of your choice made by the lovely jodi duncan with my help (and mason if you're worried about like your 6% body fat or whatever she can make low fat ones i bet).

so anyway. yay college basketball, yay selection sunday, yay best time of the year. come and find me and i'll give you a bracket to fill and i will be keeping track with the help of jodi and miyu.

So that's what will happen. Michigan State will be a 1-, 2-, or 3-seed in the conference tourney. It will lose to a team like Iowa, Purdue, or Illinois, and Spartans fans everywhere will lose hope. Then Michigan State will get a 3-seed in the NCAA tournament, Tom Izzo will do whatever the hell it is he does in March, and the Spartans will cruise to the Final Four. Michigan State fans will then hate themselves for doubting Izzo, while the rest of the country will hate them, too, because their team looked pretty average at the end of the regular season but somehow managed to make yet another Final Four.







So instead of using this space to make an argument that nobody is going to take seriously, I'm going to let Gonzaga fans enjoy their moment by linking to three of the best moments in Gonzaga basketball history. Drink it in, Zags fans, and celebrate being atop college basketball's most powerful power rankings for as long as you can.

Because when the NCAA tournament rolls around, Gonzaga is going to get exposed as the soft, unskilled, overrated frauds that everyone knows they are.
