wednesday night.

When we were very young, one day of the year, our mum would wake us up in the morning with a song. She'd whisper in our ears how she'd written us out of school if it was during the week, and the three of us always had breakfast in bed, with flowers from the garden tucked behind our ears. One time we visited the aquarium, the Museum of Contemporary Art another. Once it was storming all afternoon, and that was the day The Umbrellas of Cherbourg became one of my favourite films. When Dad came home from work, we'd have dinner and friends over for dessert -- always angel food cake for Laurel, strawberry shortcake for me.

I always say I miss home, but today I hardly thought of it at all -- my family and my friends and all I've been without for the better part of a year, and perhaps that is more terrifying than anything else.

LAUREL.
Did you have a good birthday?

thursday night.

Three guesses as to where I've found a spot on the grounds with the most phenomenal acoustics.

tuesday night.

A spot of good news -- the administration's approved my request to place a mural outside the southernmost warehouse this Saturday afternoon. Paints and brushes provided, though wearing appropriately expendable clothing will be your own responsibility. There's no official theme, but positive vibes are encouraged, as you all might expect. And please use your artistic discretion, as any obscene imagery or language is strictly prohibited and will immediately be painted over, as the dean warned me practically word for word. Even if you don't feel like painting, stop by for an iced tea, as I plan on brewing a truly humongous batch.

sunday afternoon.

Thank you to all those who've helped, in any capacity. We've seen such heartache over the past weeks, but we've also seen immense support and solidarity. I haven't been at IVI for long, but I'm very, very grateful to know all of you.

KIERAN.
How are you? If there's anything I can do -- tea, some company -- you'll let me know, won't you?

SARA, NOLAN, TAKI, LEONA, ANTHONY, MIYU, IMMY.
Are your families visiting?

sunday afternoon.

Thanks to all who've been sharing photos of home, family and friends. It's really lovely to get a glimpse of your worlds outside of IVI. Keep it all coming. As for me, I've been seeing some sorely missed faces and enjoying much needed r&r, even if it comes with the company of an annoying younger brother.

friday night.

Hi out there. My name's Lucy Lancaster, and my sister Laurel and I are four days new to IVI. We'll be moving into our rooms tomorrow, once Laur's released from medical supervision. The process of transferring's taken a bit of a toll on her, I'm afraid.

The infirmary here's livelier than I expected, but they told us what happened last week. I'm sorry for your losses and can't imagine what it was like. Personally, I'd have delayed our arrival out of respect, but as many of you can imagine, we didn't have much of a choice in the matter.

At any rate, hello. If you think you're seeing double around campus, that's just my sister and I. That was the point of all this, I suppose.
