My mama forced being a cheerleader onto me. I went with it, but I've regretted it ever since.

There were people back then that I could have treated better, that I never apologized to for my actions against them back then.

That's probably my lone regret about my time back home.

I still love my mama, though. And I wish I could communicate with her somehow just to let her know I'm OK.

My debut album, with my band, The Hellraisers! It's available as of now in digital format on Full Moon's website, and will go on sale in CD and vinyl formats on Tuesday. I got invited (by a Queen, no less!) to a wrestling party for something called AEW Revolution in March and she said I could bring a plus-one. Also I think Valentine's Day is next week, as no one will shut up about it like it isn't some kind of scam to get people to buy candy and papier-mache hearts that don't look like hearts and other shit like that.

That and I was thinking about the invasion and how you told me about how "if shit goes sideways, I at least want us to be together."

Since I can finally see straight, here's how I ended 2020 and started 2021: drunk, heartbroken, barely coherent (though still able to walk), and being told "you've been here for three days straight. We appreciate your business, but you've had enough" with no way of responding one way or another.

In no particular order, the best things about 2020 for me personally are A) getting the fuck out of Syracuse, B) getting to be part of a proper band for the first time ever and knowing for sure that I wouldn't have to play music alone anymore (which honestly had been a goal of mine from the get go), and C) the Bills winning the AFC East for the first time since I was 4 years old... and for the first time since I really knew what was going on.

Of course, things could change within the next few days, like Rhiannon popping in and saying something like "I've been thinkin' about it, dumplin', and I'd love to be your girlfriend" or something, but as of right now... yeah. Rock on and go Bills.

Oh, and go fuck yourself 2020.

I felt a great disturbance in the air last night. Almost like I lost my breath for a few seconds.

Couldn't at all tell you why or how, just... felt something that wasn't there press down on my neck. And no, despite the picture, it wasn't my hands.

Maybe that's just a sign of "I need to find more places to play before Idol starts Season 3 and/or Barb finally forms the rest of the band."

I know my birthday was over a week ago by now, but I've been doing a lot of thinking about the fact I'm 30. This obviously isn't where I pictured myself being at 30: a washed-up freelance musician who's literally waiting until Universal Idol holds auditions again just so I can get a shot at redemption. Watching a bunch of people I once thought were clearly fictional sing their hearts out every week, while I go from bar to bar every couple of nights and waste my liver away after playing around with my guitars for a few hours while everyone watches sports or literally anything else.

When I was about 5, I thought I'd be opening for Anthrax by the time I was 30. Yeah, it was a bit too lofty of a goal, but I've never ever been one to half-ass music. That said, I thought I'd have more than two albums back home that were overall lukewarm in sales which I can't even fully say are mine now. I thought I'd have someone waiting for me back home whenever I came back there who didn't nearly beat me because they couldn't separate the wrestling ring from the apartment.

I thought I'd have more in my life and career by the time I hit my 30s.

Sorry for the pity-party, I'm not usually like this, but I just had to get this out there.

That's it. I have had my fair share of heartache, by this place. Two lovers were taking away and than I got sent back was pulled back when I got engaged!

I'm tired of seeing mopey bitches, posting about heartache, so I'm calling you out.

My place, this weekend, we are all having a sleepover.

Friday night we are having a pity party and than we are going to get our shit together.

Happy Halloween. My birthday was three days ago. I don't blame you for forgetting, because hell I forgot myself. But as a now-30 year old woman, I went trick-or-treating as a Doritos Locos Taco, I even dyed my hair green and got extensions to make it look like lettuce, and my entire haul was Skittles.

I would say just this was a successful Halloween given I've not even been here two weeks yet.

Holy crap. I just got a job here... and it's definitely the coolest thing ever outside of being a wrestler.

Ben Bale just hired me to host a television show focusing on rock and metal music, where I discuss various artists, albums, and so forth, and have special guests that will debate about them with me.

It's gonna be called "Rock Talk with Alex Brody", and will be debuting as soon as we get a few guests lined up!

I found a cozy little apartment today. It even came with a bed! I used to just use a pull-out futon from the couch back home. Also, Syracuse lost. Darn.

Anywho, now that I've got my pad set up the way I remember home being, I gotta go see if that End Zone place that Ellis mentioned is looking for someone to play music on a regular basis. If so, it'll be a good place to practice my Universal Idol setlist that I think I have to wait a whole-ass year to try for a chance at performing.
