Riley purposely chose a time when Jamie was working to get Maya to come hang out. She liked Jamie so much and she wanted to tell her best friend about him, but not in front of him. And so with knowing he is working, she didn't have to split her time with her best friend and dare she say boyfriend. She had only ever loved Lucas, but she felt those same butterflies about Jamie now and everyday she wasn't with him she couldn't wait to see him. She had a giddy smile on her face just thinking about him, in fact.
She stocked up on her and Maya's favorite snacks and then paced the room waiting for her best friend to get there. She also may have sent Jamie a text while waiting, just because.

Hi Jamie. I just wanted to say hi. I was thinking about you. I hope you have a good day at work. See you tomorrow. :)
