After an amazing wedding and a brief honeymoon period on the homestead, Nicole went back to work as the Sheriff of Purgatory. Thanks to Jeremy Chetri (her friend and new deputy director of the Black Badge Division) supplies were
finally coming back in, and gradually, so were the townsfolk (although that's a story for another time). While the Earp Curse had been broken, the Ghost River Triangle and Purgatory, in particular, had become home to all kinds of folk. Vampires, Demons, Werewolves, you name it. And as the Angel's Shield, Nicole had vowed to protect everyone in the Ghost River Triangle - no matter what walk of life they came from (provided that they did no harm, but again, a story for another time). It was her job to keep the balance.
So, imagine her surprise when the earth shook and it felt like the ground would open up beneath her. She braced herself in a doorway of the Sheriff's office and waited for the moment to pass. She, along with the place that she was destined to protect, was transported to Galador in an
instant. She panted for breath, let the moment pass, then rushed out onto the street to make sure that her people were okay. Car alarms were going off. People were shouting. And yet structurally, the town looked fine. "Waves," she muttered, alarmed, pulling out her phone to dial her wife. While she waited for an answer (was the phone even
working?), she turned away from the Sheriff's office to look at the horizon. Where once there had been beautiful scenery, she could now see skyscrapers a mile high and a bustling metropolis in the distance.
"... That's new," she muttered, eyes going wide.
