I'm still not convinced I'm not imagining all of this. But damn, if I am? I hope it never stops.

My best friend is here. Our daughter is here. A second version of her is here, that's in her 20s. That was an awkward but amazing meeting. And best of all... our son is here. We held him in our arms when he was only a few hours old, and watched him leave us... and now he's here, and... he's an amazing young man and I've never felt more proud of anything in my life.

And then there's the career part of this.

Turns out a lot of people I know are here, and they work at Xavier Memorial Hospital. Went there to talk about working with reconstructive surgery, ended up in talks to be Chief of Surgery, so... that's a thing that happened.

Annnnd now my dad's here. No big, really. I love him, but I was much closer to my mom growing up.

But so help me Jesus, if Gramma Catherine shows up here, I am gonna smack someone. Hard.

I've really been enjoying splitting shifts between the two major hospitals here, but I think maybe it's time I pick one to stay at permanently.

Chief Yang is amazing over at XMH, but I feel like I might flourish more under the guidance of Chief Burke at DRH. She's exactly the kind of person I learn best from.

So how's everyone doing? I still feel like a fish out of water here. Like the odd person out, no matter where I go.

Loving it here so far. I started work yesterday, as a nurse working shifts at both Xavier Memorial and Doom Republic Hospital. Got to meet Chief Yang, and she was only slightly terrifying.

Hello, hotties. NYE Party at my place tonight at 10pm until.. well, whenever. There will be snacks, refreshments, drinks, outdoor fireworks, etc. And those of you who came to 'celebrate' at my birthday party at midnight in June? Remember the fun we had? And that you had with each other? Well good news, that can happen again at midnight! And such a great, fun way to start the new year

And given the amount expected to show up, I doubt any of us will have to worry about not having someone to kiss at midnight. Though.. I'm betting we'll be doing a lot more than that around that time, hmm? ;)

So, a lot of people have been coming up to me to tell me how mad they are that I got voted off of Idol so early. Look... I'm flattered. I really, truly am. I feel blessed that people enjoyed it.

But don't be angry about it. I'll be just fine. I'm still going to pursue a career in music, I have a gorgeous, amazing girlfriend, and I have a wonderful soon-to-be daughter that makes me feel more important than any TV show could.

Meanwhile, just keep on supporting the people that are still on the show. They're all such wonderful people and fantastic singers, I can't wait to see who wins!

I finally got my phone back. Rehab sucks but I'm glad I did it.

I'm from Seattle. I live with my adult son, which I guess is normal here. I'm 16, I like soccer, and fuzzy socks and I don't like blood or the dark.

This feels like an NA meeting but maybe it'll work to make friends. I could use some friends.
