It's gonna be a long damn time before I completely accept any of this as being my life now.

Folks at the welcome center were great though. They did as good a job breaking this all to me as is probably possible. Already helped me get set up with a place to stay and an opportunity to interview with one of the local hospitals.

Anyway, I'm Dr. Jackson Avery. Glad to meet you all. Don't mind me if I seem very... overwhelmed for a while.

I do not know what to say on here. I just got here, well, really, we just got here. My little niece Hope is with me. She is not even a day old. As much as I love her I am not her mother and I have no idea what to do with her. I hope I do not screw her up while we are here.

Not sure how the fuck bad the Steelers legendary defense had to be on Sunday to still lose even though the offense put up 37 points, but hey, fuck my life.

Day eighteen.

There's just not been too much to report recently, much as I hate to say it. It's weird, because while the first two weeks were pretty wild, this third week hasn't been anywhere near as wild. I'm glad for that kinda, because that means this whole situation is starting to become normalized to me. But I'd be lying if I didn't say that for example, it was kinda fun being mistaken for Jyn Erso even after my surgery.

But I want Beatriz to work here, too. I know it's not necessarily what she wants to do, but she'd have a friend here to work with. Plus that way, I can have half of my four besties with me at work. Three if Mouse drops by with her band... and Jenny would complete the set should either said friends want to come by to my apartment, or should Jenny drop by while we're all on the clock.

I dunno, I'm just kinda spitballing.

Well.

That was a rush. I've always known that I can sing, but I felt like my dad was the only one who really cared. My mother had a tendency to accidentally make it about herself because she had given up on pursuing a singing career when she had my brothers and me. But now I'm here and I don't have the same distractions that I did back at home. I can actually do this for myself now.

Skylar, I won't lie, I would fully consider the offer, but you know Rachelle better than I do.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to make a very special announcement.

So, I've decided that, in the interest of having more time to spend with my new and wonderful family, I'm stepping down as Head of Cardio at XMH effective today.

I've had this planned for about a month now, and have been training my replacement. Dr. Jack Pearson. Please give him all the respect and friendship that you gave me.

For those I've been treating, don't worry: I'm not leaving or anything. I just needed to drop a little of the responsibilities being head brings with it.

So many random stuff going on in my head right now...

I'm really happy with how Lila turned out. Even with the happy accident that led to her being sentient AND the oh-so-funny prank Baby Doom pulled.

I've been enjoying watching Universal Idol with Tori. Obvs, we're cheering my homegirls Lita and Enid on, but wow. It's been SO good all around. And she blushingly denies it, but I think Tori's being a little crushy on Ash Kowalski and it's so cute.

I have literaly NO IDEA what a "bone thug" is, or why Daddy keep telling me I should listen to them.

I haven't really had a chance to hang out with JR lately, and I miss her.

Leesha is my ride-or-die friend for life, and I would literally take a bullet for that girl if needed.

I don't think I've ever connected with a friend on the deep, spiritual level I have with Ellie. She's like the sister I never had.

I'm gonna make an appointment to talk to Queen Irinia. I think I have an idea that would put safeguards on Evangelion Unit 02 so that Asuka could have it back, but also not be able to use it destructively all willy-nilly.
