One week until we turn 17. What we are doing?

I turn 17 next week and Emilio said I could have some friends over next weekend. I'm not really a pillow talk/hair braiding sleep over or a club kind of girl so if anyone has some suggestions, I'll take them. We definitely don't have to stay in the apartment the entire time.

Val, you can join us for a while. You're old enough now to be included.

Looks like the second season of Idol is coming soon.

I just want to wish good luck to all of you participating this year. Last year's show was one of the most surreal but most fun experiences of my life.

Be ready, because no matter how you do, it will change your life.

Hell, I only made it through the first couple rounds, and I still get 'fan mail' asking me about my performance at the Finals.

I was thinking, as we settle in here, what do you think about finding a private tutor for 5K, and maybe giving him a name, as well? I want him to eventually be able to live a real life, like we did not have.

What are you doing next weekend?

I am really loving my job. Books all around me, there is really nothing like the smell of a good book.

I am really loving this new house. Having my own room, the backyard is pretty amazing too. We definitely picked a good one. I am also thinking about finding a job so I can help my mom out with things.

To get me out of this funk, I have decided to take up a hobby. I have decided to audition for Universal Idol and sent in my audition tape. I hope that I make it. If I don't, at least I tried and that's all that matters.

I miss baseball. Too bad that nobody is interested in starting a league. But, at least I can watch the game on TV, even if it is kind of not the same.
