Ginny and Tess have been amazing. Caring and sweet, but also hard and stern when they need to be.

I don't feel like it's an exaggeration to say they're saving my life. Because I'm not strong enough to do it myself.

Ginny's been helping me turn to music rather than alcohol for my pain.

I was sitting in the kitchen this morning after breakfast, and started thinking about my love again. Instead of looking for booze, I grabbed my acoustic guitar and did this. It's an old favorite of mine, and the lyrics fit my feelings right now completely.

So, I guess I'm staying with friends(?) for a little bit. They're gonna try to help me sober up. Kate, Kylie? You girls know where my money is, you get anything you need, ok? I'm... gonna try to get you back the Ellis you know and love.

To the rest of my family and friends... I'm sorry for what an asshole I've probably been lately. I wish I could tell you that's all in the past, but from what Tess told me, this is gonna get a lot worse before it gets much better. But at least I finally have someone who understands me enough to work with me.

Tess? Ginny? You ladies are a godsend. Since I'll probably be swearing and yelling at you both when I'm craving booze later, let me say right now that I owe you both. Big time.

Alright, so I wasn't completely sure about it before, but I have since made a decision, now that I am basically done with high school.

I would love to help you in your restaurant and learn to cook Japanese food.

Ok. So, I was sitting around thinking to myself.

I said, "Self? Why are you so nervous about not making any friends here? You had literally two friends at home, and both are here as well. And nobody's been able to find you even remotely dateable, so it's not like you can be less pathetic, right?"

I mean, I could be. If I started standing on street corners holding a sign that said 'Will Work For Friendship" or something.

Which, TBH, doesn't sound like an altogether bad idea.

ANYWAY. Point is, may as well get myself out there and try making a few friends.

So what do not-at-all-pathetic people do for fun here when they wanna meet people?
