After his conversation with Sally on the network, Matt contented himself with trying to get used to his surroundings. He knew that he was in a park. He could hear the breeze, although he felt that there was something off about it. (Also, there was a telepathic dog, which sent off more alarm bells than he knew what to do with). Still, he tried to keep calm. Maybe Foggy was around somewhere. Maybe they'd come here together. Maybe people were fucking with him. He really didn't know. So, for right now? He was trying to keep calm and keep a sense of humor about where he was. Hell, it could be some kind of weird hazing ritual for all he knew. He was trying to keep an open mind right now. Even if it was driving him crazy.

After witnessing Sam sacrifice himself to save the world Dean had followed through with his promise to his brother and tried to create a life with Lisa and Ben. He'd barely been at their home for a week when he'd decided to go for a drive, trying to dispel his old demons (so to speak). He loved his Impala and driving helped to clear his mind and that was what he needed at the time.

He honestly couldn't say how long he'd been driving, but one minute he was on a dark stretch of road and the next he swerved to miss a pedestrian and hit a tree with a loud crash, hitting his head against the steering wheel and momentarily losing consciousness.
