It was the pain, the searing pain that shot from the young woman's head and down her spine that caused her to stir awake. Her eyes began to open but the light was far too bright and her hand went up high to block what she could until her eyes adjusted. Sally felt another sting of pain shot from her head and her hand instinctively went to it. That was a mistake, the moment her fingers touch the spot she drew her fingers back, the red stain on the tip of her fingers catching her eye. The petite blonde looked around the floor as her eyes adjusted ever so slightly to the piercing light above her. Skids had no idea where is was or what had happened to get her here but she could feel her heart beginning to race at the fear of the unknown.
It began coming back to her as she focused her sights and gained more vision as the moments ticked by. She was getting ready to visit Dean to surprise him with a little Thanksgiving meal, after all he was her friend and since she had no family she wanted to spend it with him. Everything seemed to run together as she tried to piece whatever happened to her back together. She closed her eyes tightly trying to remember but that only caused her wound to send more pain through her body.
Sally saw glimpses in her mind of the incident, she remembered the lights going out in her room, her body had turned to face her door and before she could even get her shield up to see, a ice cold object slammed into her head. That was all she could remember before her head started to pound. Skids' fingers hovered near the wound, scared to touch it and cause more torment to her person. The mutant woman slowly rose from her seated position on the cold floor and headed forward thinking she was just in a dark alley or something.
THUNK!
The blonde smacked into what must have been a wall, it was not enough to send her backwards but enough to make the sound. She rubbed her chest and hand that had hit first and looked forward at the force before her. Her palm stretched out and touched the invisible wall, it was cold just like the floor. She could hear her heart pound in her chest and ears as her terror grew inside her.
Skids pulled her hand back and saw a print appear, glass or plastic, that's what it was. She quickly walked to the left with an outstretched palm, feeling the same and then to right for the same result. Her breathing grew heavy and rapid as she came to the truth in her mind. She was trapped in some kind of box. Her fear and panic set in as she mentally could not take such a horrific reality.
Her hands forcefully beat on the glass of the structure and the mutant let out loud bellows for help. "HELP! SOMEONE! ANYONE! DEAN!! PLEASE! HELP! LET ME OUT!" Her throat burned as she continued her cries, her hands burning from the pounding on the barrier before her. She could feel her eyes stinging as she continued her useless efforts at seeking rescue. Being trapped was not something Sally took well. This was definitely something to be terrified about. "DEAN!" her voice breaking from the lump growing in her throat as she slowly slid down while her hands still beat hard on the surface.
Her screams turned into soft whimpers after what felt like hours. What was to become of her? What was all this for? Who did this? Her mind raced as she imagined the worst. She could not see more than a little ways in front of her, a few dim lights elsewhere in the room. She also knew her cries were not loud beyond the walls that caged her. This was hopeless.
