Alex and Jean had never really been that close, she didn't see him often. But now that he was here she felt a new closeness that only family could bring. Jean was genuinely glad he was there. She did know one thing, she could trust him. Her good-looking brother-in-law had just agreed to head the Geology department at Charles Xavier University. (CXU)

Arriving early, Jean found a table and sat down. Usually she didn't read people's minds, but sometimes they were just so loud. Deciding to listen in for fun, she gave her their drink order. She wanted a nice cold beer. Ordering for Alex, Jean asked the waiter to hold his drink until he got there, nothing worse than cold beer.

The door opened, ushering Alex in. As always he looked great. Waving to get his attention, she smiled at him, then started to laugh at the couple talking about the sex they had not too long ago. They were young and still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. She envied them.

Upon his approach, the level five mutant greeted him.

"Hi, Alex. My, you look very striking today."

With the influx of people, my head seems to be hurting more and more. More history overload than anything.

I wish Harry or Kincaid would appear.

Molly said if I needed a break, I could go the castle in the Nevernever, Harry and her had been working on it before he left.

I asked if I could bring you, she was hesitant, but than agreed.

Hard to believe how much my life has changed over the last eight years.

From being alone in a cupboard, to finding out I was a wizard, to meeting the woman I love in another reality.

Happy Birthday to me, indeed.

What do you think of a Labor Day BBQ? We could invite family and friends. We'll provide everything but the drinks. We'd have ice of course, and all the eating implements we need.

Since it doesn't look like I'm going home any time soon, I guess it's time to find a job.

I love being in the past and getting to see everything happen... but I still miss my sister. I'm just glad she doesn't have to miss me.
