After messaging Ann on the network Matt decided that it was time to get out more. He'd sought advice from Wade of all people about being set up on a blind date (after having all but decided to sign up anyway) and was glad that he had. Otherwise he wouldn't be meeting Claire right now. While he could follow the dialogue of a movie well enough he'd rather focus his attention on her, which was why he suggested that they meet at the beach for dancing instead. While technically blind he could still get around better than most. He waited for her near the party entrance, dressed in jeans, a collared shirt and a blazer with his tinted glasses perched on his nose and his walking stick stretched out in front of him. He'd likely fold it up once she found her way to him but nothing screamed 'blind guy' like a walking stick, right? He smiled amusedly at the thought.

She'd told him that she was new to Galador so at the very least he hoped to introduce her to new people. He knew what it felt like to be alone and wouldn't wish that on anyone.

He really wished that Foggy was here.

For as long as she'd been on Galador, Rory had entertained thoughts about a romantic relationship with only one person. She buried herself in study, work and her books for a good long while. Until the mention of a blind date came up on the network. Could she? Would she? After (briefly) talking to her mom about it, she decided that she would. She was glad that she got herself 'out there'. She could over-analyse what she liked about Freddie until the cows came home, but she decided to shut her brain off where that was concerned and just let things flow naturally. He'd suggested that they'd meet before the official blind date and she was glad that he had. Who needed the pressure of a prearranged date when they could do their own thing?

...

OK. So. She stressed about the outfit. She freaked out about going on a date at all. She was still giddy with excitement. BUT. She got there. She waited for Freddie outside of the coffee shop just shy of 4PM, wearing a black mini-skirt, a semi-see-through peasant top and a dark blazer. She was sitting outside on a park bench with a book propped open in her lap, deeply engrossed in what she was reading.

Some things never change.

This is strange. I have new ideas for a book already; though. Brooke I saw your name on the list. And Jamie Scott, are you my nephew? Lily, are you really her, too? Lydia? Who wants to come give their big brother/uncle a ride from this Welcome Center? Brooke?

Things got crazy for Noah this week and I could tell he needed some cheering up and I wanted to be silly so the other night after closing, we put together a music video to one of my favorite songs by the best fictional metal bands out there ( Jars of Vomit from the MyMusic series ). Now we all know metal is NOT Noah's forte but sometimes you gotta branch am I right? He humored me after listing to the song and had a blast doing it so I would like to say I accomplished my goal.

[The video set in the Crashdown Cafe. Bota Lita and Noah are in their uniforms with Lita sporting violet red hair while Noah has his spiked up. Litas has an electric guitar while Noah is behind the drums. Together they play Applejuice Factory. Every time Lita sings "Applejuice", Noah sings "Factory" then they sing it together. During the instrumental 1:10 to 1:23 Lita handbags and Noah can be seen with a big grin on his face. At the end very end, she grabs a jug of apple juice that had been sitting off-camera and leans back, pouring into her mouth. Standing straight again, the two laughed at how it got all over her uniform and the walked forward towards the camera, saying 'Cut!' before it shut off]

Good God can't people just be happy and live their lives and brag about how happy they are on the network?

I am looking for a new challenge since I feel I have mastered combat with sword and various weapons. I need to become more skilled and adept in combat without my weapons. Would anyone be up for training me in hand to hand combat?

Sandor? What about you? I know you won't hold back.

To All Students at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning - Both campuses.
Labor Day is fast approaching. We are having a picnic on the main campus, with movies on the quad after dinner. Additionally, we will have a water slide. Please don't use the cafeteria trays to slide down the water slide. A bonfire is planned on the edge of the quad. All the festivities will end at 11:00 for the lower school. University students, you may stay as late as you want.

To all high school students and Headmasters and principals,
Tickets for the September 14 Dance will be available on Tuesday, September 3. Tickets are free and are proof that you attend one of the schools.

The theme for this dance is United. Proceedings will begin at 8:00 on Saturday, September 21. Each Headmaster and principal will be responsible for distributing the tickets.

I would like the opportunity to be your friend again. The Jean Grey School for Higher Learning is having a barbecue party type thing this weekend. I can get some extra tickets.
