Life goes by so quickly. I want to slow things down but that's not possible. Time there is either too much time, or never enough. For me it's never enough.

Faith waited patently for Cordy. The dark-haired slayer learned early on that the Cordy in her world was always a good twenty-minutes late. She wasn't going to go by that with this Cordelia. Faith always expected the best out of everyone and she felt that way about this Cordy. Faith was all dressed up, wearing one of her favorite pairs of shoes. Shoes was what she and her Cordy bonded over in their world.

This Cordy was on time, and that made Faith smile.

"Hey, you," was the greeting she used. "I'm so glad you could make it."

Charles and I have discussed the matter of your employment. On behalf of the school, I'd like to personally offer you a teaching position at the school.

I'm taking in the young woman Asuka Langley Soryuu, and I was wondering if I could also let her keep the giant robot that came with her. She's really attached to it, and I'm not going to let her rampage around the planet with it. According to her, she piloted it on her home world to try and prevent the world from ending against invaders. If I can figure out how it works and help her repair it, I think it might even be a help to defending this planet against any incoming threats.

Because we know that sooner or later something going to end up attacking again.
