When you meet someone randomly, and have a great connection with them, how long should you wait before contacting them without seeming clingy or desperate?

The last time I wrote in here I had only just arrived and now the school year is almost done. Time sure has flown. I have spent so much time in class and at the newspaper working that I forgot about this thing.

So, allow me to reintroduce myself to all the new people. My name is Clare Edwards and I work in the newspaper as a reporter. I am also a Freshman at the University majoring in Journalism and live in the dorms.

...I am going to assume that, even if one has a very good reason, it is not wise to punch a queen. Especially one that you work for.

Rather than brood and think about anything on Christmas Day, I'm going to just watch the kids as Queen Consort Emily has requested, then try to find something to do that will distract me.

I've been here about eight months now, but I haven't made any friends. This is largely due to the fact that I had just recently came into my powers and was afraid to hurt someone if I hung out with them. I'm not anymore, though. I've been working closely with the people that are called mutants here and now I'm confident that I can just go out there and do what girls my age tend to do.

So is anything going on this weekend?

Regretfully so, I was eliminated the first week of Idol. But that will not be the last you hear from me.

I've come to a decision.

I no longer wish to carry a position based on my powers. Instead, I'm going to look for a job based on my other skills. I honestly believe that is what has had me so down lately.
