Everyone went from really happy to really sad... please don’t be sad. It will be okay. My birthday wish will be everyone can find some kind of happiness or at least peace again.

Who made it rain glitter? It’s quite lovely either way. Who would like to go out to the zoo tomorrow? Surely the animals are just as happy to enjoy these nice winter days too!

So, now that someone has shown me how these things are meant to work, I should apologise for my less than graceful hello earlier.

I'm Neville Longbottom, seems like a lot of people know me but I don't recognise a lot too so, hello. Properly this time.

I'm apparently a guardian on the 8th floor and I'm still figuring out everything that that means but I've been head of house at a boarding school for a few years and I don't imagine it's too far off. So I'm around if anyone needs me?

I do not know if you remember me or not... After all, it was quite an unexpected and unconventional way to drop in on someone, even if it was during a War. You have a rather beautiful home though, in case I did not mention it before.

Ron often spoke of his older brother that worked with dragons, you know. Thought it was cool work and while I have to disagree, it does not diminish their value in the world and as awesome creatures.

Sorry, I digress. I am simply looking for a burn antidote and thought perhaps you could help. Hermione tells me they have dragons at Gringotts. Surely you have seen them? I mean Gringotts is not working with dragons, but it is a close second, if I do say so myself.

I do hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and had a rather delightful Boxing Day! I have to admit mine was very illuminating! The Entity, or whatever they prefer to be called, is quite amazing! I have only ever seen one at Hogwarts and I have never could have imagined having one as a pet, but...

I'm doing some Christmas-type things with my cousins and Thalia and maybe some of her mates, but I'll pop 'round to see you lot too if you want?

Has anyone seen any magical creatures wandering about? I know this is New Orleans, but surely there has to be something. I have been thinking I would like a pet. I kept hoping the elves would bring me a moon calf or something, but instead I got a new pair of shoes. Which are lovely by the way! But it is a little bit lonely here and I would love the company. Not a dragon mind you. Dragons don’t make good pets and my roommates surely would not appreciate it. I don’t mind camping, but sleeping out in the park every night would be a bit cold.

I take it all back. I love these elves.

Are we really supposed to pretend that all of this is fine and live normal lives?

May I ask who, exactly, is in charge here?

This is breaking nearly every article of the Statute of Secrecy, I’ll have you know. Not to mention that popping people in and out without permission is in very poor taste.

Has anyone seen a pair of shoes around? Mine seem to have disappeared and it’s getting quite cold outside. They used to disappear all the time at Hogwarts too.... Maybe the Nargles are playing a game, but as I mentioned it is getting quite cold and frostbite does not sound like an enjoyable way to spend my time here.

I was gonna ask a bunch of slightly barmy questions to get them out of my head, but then I decided I might not want answers or a philosophical debate right now, so instead I am giving you permission to ask me anything. I won't answer if a. I don't know or b. I don't want to, but you can definitely ask!

For those I didn't talk to before, or that I didn't introduce myself to when I talked to you, I'm Lily. I'm going to do that thing where people forgo their surnames because, well, it seems to make sense. I'm not ashamed of my name or who I am or my family, but I kinda get the desire to not drop too many truth dungbombs on people.
