Last chance to get those New Year's resolutions in!

I'm resolving to not let myself get upset every time my blood sugar decides to be stupid, to graduate 8th grade with honors, and to write one entry in my journal every day.

It seems Elizabeth Bennet is among those returned. I believe her roommates are also gone. I know I don't hear Joan or little Arthur, at least.

I can't help but feel like the Entity is gearing up for something big.

It was a wonderful party, thank you for throwing it Lizzie. I'm sure everyone who attended had a great time. I'm still not sure I entirely understand 21st century Halloween customs, but it was enjoyable just the same.

I suppose Thanksgiving is next? Fuck. Not sure I'm feeling overly festive but if anyone wants to celebrate, I do make a mean turkey.

Everyone is talking about costumes and carving pumpkins, but why are we not talking about a distinct lack of candy corn?

Is there a shortage that we were not informed about? Do I need to question the lobby ostriches? I wouldn't be surprised if they're behind it. They have a sweet tooth.

...Sweet beak? Talon? Hmm.

GWEN! ...I may have put Jeff through the laundry on accident. He's okay! He definitely had fun! Too much, I think. He was sleeping in my laundry basket again.

I will also concede to you Pumpkin Spice Latte supporters. It might be an alright drink. I definitely did not drink three today I still favor the peppermint and chocolate things.

Also, while lasers can make a precise cut, they're not great to use on hair. The smell is pretty terrible.

I was never able to do much with the apples while they were talking and jeering other than trying to avoid them at all costs, but today, I was bored and there are pumpkins*.

What are we doing for Halloween?

I could really get used to the convenience of farm-to-table cooking when the farm's right outside the door for pickup. Nothing's better than fresh, and 'tis the season for trying out new recipes. So far the apple cinnamon pancakes have been the favorite.

Side note-- they all tend to taste as they sound. Sweet, juicy, but my favorite: full of tart.

Now that the killer robots are gone, we can properly plan for Halloween. I'm throwing a party in the conference room. All ages. Costumes required. Help planning is appreciated!

We should secure the building. At the very least one floor where anyone who doesn't feel like batting little evil robots around can secure themselves.

And we definitely need a supply run no one has to go outside who doesn't need to.

The irony of dating a man who was terrified of me going before him being the one to go first isn't lost on me, Entity.

To be fair, I don't know what else I was expecting. It isn't like this is the first time.

I could do the proper thing and ask politely for the day off but I think we all know I'm not coming in today.

I'm glad we are no longer living in my middle school nightmares. I missed my bed!

If anyone's interested in a sparring class under current circumstances, I'll be holding a few tomorrow. Yes, some amount of clothes are required. Normally, sessions are for those who lean towards the novice side, but there will be one or two for those who are more skilled. Powers are fine as long as you don't use them. I'm not set up for that, and I'd rather not have to replace equipment. Or windows.

I maintain that the only good use for a damned ostrich is it's feathers and, possibly, a decent egg. Otherwise, I'd prefer not to come into contact with them again any time soon.

And why am I so terribly hungry

Somewhere out there in the multiverse, my friend Peter is waking up from his worst nightmare.

But for me? This is the best dream ever come to life.

Just over here patiently counting down till all the pumpkin flavored things hit stores.

Also salted caramel. That's a big one for fall, too.

Would any non superpowered people be up for some training? I can feel myself getting lazy and it isn't a good look on me.

No offense, Supers, but if I'm going to get my butt beat, I'd like to at least stand a fighting chance.

Okay, so how mad would people be if I magic up a small snowstorm? In a limited fashion aka my apartment or a small spot on the park. I am not built for this heat.

How do some people enjoy this heat? I feel like I am dying.
