Assuming we are (and the Entity and I are going to have Words if we are not!) FOURTH OF JULY PARTY SUNDAY!!!! We're taking over the lawn. I got a slip and slide and a bounce house that fits grownups, and you know good and bloody well I'm going to use it! The sprinklers will be on, hot dogs, hamburgers, and black bean patties for the veggiesaurs will be on the grill, a bunch of sides I'm having catered because no one should trust me to make the potato salad, but if you want to bring something to share I'm sure not going to stop you, BYOB but there will be sodas and mocktails and... I'm probably forgetting things.

FIREWORKS. OBVIOUSLY there will be fireworks.

Swimsuits welcomed and encouraged for water fun!

I'm overly excited for Freed Colonial Persons Day.

You know, you wouldn't think the equivalent of video game NPCs in real life would need legal counsel, but apparently it's a thing. So I guess I'm opening a practice here? It's just me, so it is what it is, really.

Still going to call it Nelson & Murdock. If he ever showed up and it didn't have his name he'd be heartbroken, and none of you want to see Foggy Nelson cry.

Anyway. If any of you non video game NPCs ever runs into legal trouble, you know where to find me.

So assume some English girl you know has been joking about throwing a huge Fourth of July bash for months now and now that the idea is in her head, she's pretty dead set on rolling with it.

What are the must haves? Obviously a cookout is necessary. And cake. A birthday cake, even, can't imagine why. And fireworks, I'm sure I can make that happen if the city itself doesn't beat me to it. (This is, of course, assuming we're back in Goodland proper by then but I imagine we will be).

Any other requests? If we run a sprinkler in the outside area, will the ostriches attempt a murder?

I have never really felt what you might consider homesick but, alas, here we are. It's an odd feeling. I don't know if I feel more sad or just plain empty.

How does one make this feeling go away? I don't like it.

I'm officially calling for a mini-golf tournament.

Pairs, teams, I don't care, but I never get to play and it's here and we're definitely doing it.

I'm torn. I'm finally able to experience what it's like to be a part of a true film noir, but it's impossible to finish this Matisse in all these grays.

Oh, and then there's that abandoned fun house vibe going on outside.

Lucky was having a great time with some of the animals. I know he's already missing them even if he couldn't actually talk back. If you ask me, though, I'm pretty sure they were all chatting away just fine.

I may have been mildly jealous.

Does anyone want some late-night pizza? Burritos? Grilled cheese? This might be my way of asking someone to either a) get take-out with me or b) volunteer to cook said items so the entire place doesn't burn to the ground.

Mac and cheese would be good, too.

Is it just me, or is anyone else a little worried about being in Narnia with the snow?

Entity, vacations are supposed to be fun.

I'm throwing a bonfire on the beach tonight. Laura would have wanted one and I'm definitely not going to turn down the company if anyone wants to come out.

Beach. Again.

No volcanoes.

I've been fae napped by some rando with an ostrich fetish and Tweety Pie won't frick off and pester someone else.

Bo-Bo! Trick!? What the hell guys.

I almost feel like just picking a volcano and living in it until this is done.

Better that than bringing down the energy.

Now, this I could get used to even if it's only for a few days. As much as I do love New York, even a fake one, I've missed island life.

Cruise life is on up there too.

It is extremely warm here. Definitely bringing that down a bit. (For myself. Don't worry, I'm not going to mess with the temperature for everyone else.)

I've been googling for less well-known things to do here. I think I want to explore some of the abandoned buildings and the arboretum and visit the cat sanctuary. And swim in the reefs. Plus all the food and maybe rent out one of the treehouses.

We need to have a bonfire party one night. Saturday?
