Well this is not the tropical island getaway I wanted for the summer. If anyone starts singing exposition and inner monologues, I'm going to Thankfully my phone works.

God I've missed the 4th being an actual celebration, rather than a public performance of patriotic grief. (Patriotic pathos?) Last year all this still didn't quite seem real and the difference only made it worse. I can probably actually appreciate it this time.

So, I need to figure out projects to do. Seems that my bedroom is being turned into a lab, so there is that. Now? I just need to figure out projects and find the right tools. Honestly? A lot of the tools here seem pretty primitive.

Since I am done playing at being a student I decided to get a part time job to pass the time. I found myself a small used bookstore. Slow enough that I can get paid to read books or get paid to attempt to get the grouchy shop cat to pay attention to me.
