Welcome to Night Vale

So I'm still trying to get my footing here. I know we're all pretty far from home and everything that that means, so I wouldn't mind having to opportunity to get to know all of you better.

Eadwulf and I have discussed doing a pub crawl just to get a lay of the land and well, because that's honestly the best way to see the sights. If anyone else wants to come, you're welcome.

We're meeting in the town square shortly.

I hate that no matter how much you prepare for things, there always seems to be one thing that you forget. Does anyone have any idea on how to baby proof an apartment? I set Mia down on the floor in my office with her toys and she pulled herself up and took few steps. My little girl is walking. It's very exciting but also very terrifying.

So, my husband Oliver and his sister were archers. I did a lot of work on modifying some arrows for them. When our office showed up here in Night Vale, a lot of them showed up with it. If anyone would like to take a look at them, you're more than welcome.

Anyone currently looking for a gig as an office manager in an auto repair shop? No auto experience necessary; bookkeeping skills required.

Show of hands, how many others here are single parents who spend most of their time socializing with the pre-preschool crowd? For those that can say 'yes' -- any interest in, perhaps, a weekly play group where the kids can entertain each other and we can have real, adult conversation?

I've been doing a lot of work with prosthetic limbs and mobility aids since I got here. I have to admit, I find the work far more fulfilling than my projects back home. It's nice to not be making weapons.

You know, nobody said I couldn't use magic during that fight club thing. I definitely never heard anything like that. No weapons? Sure. That's a given. But I can't be held entirely responsible when my hands move out of instinct, and it just happens.

And I missed anyways. What's the big deal?

Hello and greetings. My name is Allura, and it seems I am a long way from Tal'Dorei.

No it's great, as someone with only one arm, having their things flying around. This is fine and absolutely not making me want to scream.

Finally decided on teaching youth gymnastics at the local YMCA. Classes start tomorrow at 3:30pm and will probably wrap up at 5pm, so if anyone has kids they'd like to sign up, let me know and I'll add them to the roster. Probably looking at twice a week, maybe three if the kids take to it.

That's a pretty easy gig, though, so.. Might actually look into the school's gym classes if anyone knows anything about vacancies?

How's everyone's job search going?

You know, this is probably the longest that I've ever stayed in one place since I was a teenager. Is that a bad revelation to have? That you've never really settled down anywhere before and that you're starting to feel antsy at having to stay put?

These snakes are remarkably calm. All they really seem to want is a warm, dry place to sleep and people not to step on them. At least, that's what the ones in my apartment seem to want. Except for one that just kept going "fooooooooood" until I gave him a hot dog.

Are hot dogs good for snakes?

One of these days, I'll end up back on Coruscant. Curious why it's always deserts though.

Couple of questions; there anyone who has a good understanding of cybernetics and is there a space I could keep up with my training?

I've heard through the grapevine that you're some kind of wizard when it comes to guns. A man in a place with actual wizards that chooses to make and use guns. Do you realize how bad ass that is? Because it's pretty friggen bad ass.
