Am I terrible person for thinking when I found my egg "Ooh, I wonder if this will make a good omelet"?
Because it's pretty big. I bet I could get two or three omelets out of it.

The Emporium seems to be doing well, which has me thinking of new projects.
Namely something in the spirit of arcane collaboration and the sharing of knowledge. There seem to be quite a few magically gifted individuals here, from a variety of schools of thought and arcane backgrounds and it seems a shame not to use this opportunity to explore how we might learn from one another and expand our own understanding of the arcane.
I'm more than happy to discuss my own work and projects and I would hope that other people are as well.
Namely something in the spirit of arcane collaboration and the sharing of knowledge. There seem to be quite a few magically gifted individuals here, from a variety of schools of thought and arcane backgrounds and it seems a shame not to use this opportunity to explore how we might learn from one another and expand our own understanding of the arcane.

Things seem to be warming up nicely. I've never much liked the cold. Perhaps that's mother's influence.

I managed to get a corner set up in the Last Resort for something akin to pet&child sitting services.
For those of you not wishing to leave animals in rooms or in need of a minder for children for however longI'm not even sure how many children are around you can drop by and just fill in a small form and leave them with me for the day.
There's a cat, dog, and I'm not entirely sure who left the lizard here, but I've managed to stop Grogu from putting it in his mouth so far. I'm sure that's not the accomplishment to many that I feel it is.

Question for those magically inclined like me, would any of you maybe be interested in taking on a student or protégé? Doesn't have to be a full-time commitment, I know a pretty good deal of magic on my own, I've just...never had any formal training so a lot of my magic has been mostly just dumb luck or guesswork on my part. I'm pretty naturally talented on my own, which I guess is the perks of having a fairy and a god for parents but I wouldn't mind having an actual teacher.
I'm a pretty quick study when it comes to magic. I know most basic spells, and I can turn into a dragon. But I wouldn't mind learning some more complicated things.
I can definitely pay, too, so no one's just giving away their services for free.

Does anyone ever feel.. I don't know, bad about being here? Guilty, I guess, is a better word. Like you just know that when you go home if you go home that you won't be anything like you were and your Mother your friends and family might feel really different toward you?
But at the same time... you really enjoy it here?? It's odd and confusing and new but you feel less suffocated, here? And certain problems don't have to exist.
Also, llamas are definitely one of my favorite animals now.

Once when we were younger men, Patroclus was wounded during training and I bandaged his leg and did such a poor job that it wouldn't stay up. The linens were slipping down his leg every other step, but he didn't want anyone else to affix them, even though anyone could have done a better job. I am no healer, never have I been.
Maybe it was because he knew I would have to fix them every few minutes, that he insisted it be me. He might have been testing to see how many times I would do it. He would say, "Achilles, it's fallen again" and each time I would try to fix them better but again they would fall. And he laughed. He could have done it himself, even, and done better. Maybe he thought he was torturing me and at the time maybe I thought that he was.
What I wouldn't give to fix that bandage again.
Forgive me for rambling. I am in my cups tonight.
Maybe it was because he knew I would have to fix them every few minutes, that he insisted it be me. He might have been testing to see how many times I would do it. He would say, "Achilles, it's fallen again" and each time I would try to fix them better but again they would fall. And he laughed. He could have done it himself, even, and done better. Maybe he thought he was torturing me and at the time maybe I thought that he was.
What I wouldn't give to fix that bandage again.

Okay, I've gotta ask with all of the llamas running around...no one's seen a woman named Yzma, have they? Tall, really wrinkly, wears a lot of purple, like almost more than I do? Turning people into animals, especially llamas is kinda her thing.
...Or it could totally be her son, Zevon. He's a bit of a jerk like that.
She has a daughter, Yzla, but last I heard from her, she was trying to do the whole good guy thing.
