ooc: I am still exploring Mantis' powers and what she's capable of because they butchered her abilities in the mcu, so with permission, the loss of Peter Quill has caused a sort of Empathic psychic blast, Mantis is completely unaware that it happened. She feels strongly so she's definitely hurting and feeling alone.

So. Anyone up for a bonfire night now that it's starting to get dark a lot earlier? It's honestly probably the best time to do one, where it's not too hot but not too cold, and there's a lot more night to put to good use.

I'm sure there's some reason we could think of to celebrate.

I am Sera dy Ajelo, cousin to the provincar of Baocia. I was out on pilgrimage, and I believe that I fell from my horse and hurt my head. When I awoke, I was here. The attendants here have seen to my horse and to my comforts with hospitality worthy of any temple, but so much of what I find here is sorely unfamiliar.

Would some kind woman meet with me in my rooms and assist me with a few practicalities? I am a quick learner.

Hey, so our group is pretty small. Maybe we should get together soon for a dinner or something?

You know there was a time when my friends and I had to be careful during the full moon. It always caused us to behave oddly, and let's just say that I'm very glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. I couldn't say what changed, but after a while, it was like we were immune to it.

So in the spirit of not covering my windows for the night, I'm going to check out the harvest festival this evening!

Have to say I am a fan of cheesecake.

Not so much celery? It tastes like something from the food synthesizer on the Falcon. Which is to say nothing - it tastes like nothing. And it's stringy.

But cheesecake is amazing. How much is too much? Also, forever open to suggestion for new things.

Hello friends! I have exciting news! Quill and I moved into another apartment because we missed living on a ship together. I am still sad that I do not live on a ship, but I am very happy to be sharing a space with my friend. We are in 908 and I am told that it is customary to host a housewarming party!

I do not think it needs to be warmed as it feels fine to me but a party does sound nice! All friends are welcome to stop by on Friday. We will have plenty of snacks!

That lovely season that I only just learned about, Fall, is fast approaching which means all the spiders are coming indoors to.... hibernate for the winter? Is that how that works? It sounds a lot better than 'lay eggs in our orifices while we sleep so their tiny children have a snack when they hatch.'

They are absolutely giant and no, I'm not scared at all. My shrieking is purely coincidental.

So my question is..

If I get bit by one of those strange spiders do I become a Spider-Pikachu akin to this world like the Amazing Cindy or like... do I just become a Galvantula?

Just for the record I would rather not get bit by anything, while here, so this is definitely not an invitation. I totally deleted my Bumble account specifically for those reasons.

Hey, I know I'm running late to pick up breakfast, but I need you to stay put okay?

You know, it dawned on me today that the end of next month will mark my year of being here in Night Vale. Time really did fly by! It's weird, but not in a bad way. This place is constantly being weird, but I have to admit that this place really has started to feel like home for me.

What are some things you love most about this place?

I know it's cliche, but for me, it's the people I've met here that I otherwise wouldn't have back home.
