I was kind of hoping that the fight club would be good for some therapy. Turns out I am really only good at fighting one asshole in particular..

But I never got along very well with my therapists back home. I never could get them to believe me and it's hard to be open when you always feel invalidated. But maybe it's time to try again. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. I’ve had it marked on my calendar for months but I still can’t believe it’s almost here.

I know this isn’t home and I know it’s just my paranoia kicking in but I doubt I’m getting any sleep tonight.

Might be a good idea to have your favorite weapon ready just in case Night Vale decides to toss that hockey mask wearing revenant dick head our way. I know it’s probably bad ju ju just to say it but better safe than sorry.

Trying to find enough bands to have a battle of the bands is proving harder than I expected. I knew the weirdness of this place made it a little offbeat but I figured there would be at least a couple of people with bands.

It was so much easier back home.

You know, April is usually a weird month. What with April Fool's day and Easter and all of the other religious stuff that goes with that. And it always turns into this battle of when it's good to go out and not. And while that was definitely less of an issue here, there was just a whole other brand of weirdness I wasn't entirely prepared to comprehend.

Why are Yoshis real? Like Chocobos I get. There's Final Fantasy people here, for fuck's sake. That's to be expected. But... Yoshis?

I really hope May gives us a bit of a breather.

I do love the new flowers. My Mother would have loved them, as she was very fond of them. She taught me how to make arrangements, but I was never as good at it as she was, or had her distinct eye for it. Still I made a little thing that I think she would have loved.

That said; I would like to offer the following event: An Easter Egg Hunt. I have read up on some of the customs, and this seems like a fun, and relatively low-key sort of celebration where we can all mingle. And we get chocolate out of it. All in all, not a terrible way to spend a few hours. There will also be a picnic. Eros has been kind enough to offer aid with this, so it should be splendid. I hope to see many of you there.

Maybe it's just a thing for some people on the coast but I remember how crazy my mom used to be about Groundhog's day. Every year she wanted to know what that dumb groundhog had to say. I used to think it was so lame but now I kind of miss it.

I saw there was a movie about it and I watched it. Not bad. Kind of makes you think though. Here's hoping we don't get stuck in a time loop?

Okay, I've gotta ask with all of the llamas running around...no one's seen a woman named Yzma, have they? Tall, really wrinkly, wears a lot of purple, like almost more than I do? Turning people into animals, especially llamas is kinda her thing.

...Or it could totally be her son, Zevon. He's a bit of a jerk like that.

She has a daughter, Yzla, but last I heard from her, she was trying to do the whole good guy thing.

So. Angels besides the Erikas (who I still find kind of creepy and completely unnerving) exist. There's a guy claiming to be one. Let's not get started on that vessel kid He says he's harmless and, yeah, he probably is. He seems nice and not creepy or nice in that creepy way people use when they try and get you to let your guard down.

Just, you know, consider this a public service announcement. Just in case I do something like start carrying a lead pipe with me wherever I go. Or hide one under the bed.

Anyway, how's everyone else holding up? New Year's was fun, right? Do I get to give Tommy Jarvis the shovel talk?

Working for the newspaper here is weird, but it's better than back home. Nobody expects me to just get the coffee. Nobody belittles my ideas or talks down to me. It's nice.

So...we need to figure out what we're going to do about rooms.

If this place does become dangerous, it'll be better for us to stick together.

The way I see it, we have a couple options. We can take two of the five bedrooms next to each other. Or we could replace the beds in one of the five bedrooms so there's two to a room and we can fit more people in one apartment. Honestly, depending on who else shows up, we might need a second apartment even if we double up, but it might be good to start.

What do you guys think?
