I have, potentially, left this a little late but as this had great results last year once more I am offering to host a bit of an Easter Egg Hunt/Picnic. Last year we hosted this inside The Last Resort, but if the weather holds up, I am considering doing this outside.
The Easter Egg Hunt is mostly geared towards the littler ones, but if you wish to participate, you are free to do so.
Please do let me know of any dietary restrictions and preferences, both for yourself (picnic and egg hunt wise) and any little ones you have.
As ever, should you need anything I can be found in 1211.

THE HELLFIRE CLUB
The Hellfire Club doesn't have to do much to decorate for the time of year. Red is the color after all. It's accentuated by neon lighting and gauzy fabrics. This isn't a hearts and flowers Valentine's party. This is a singles night, so there's a carefully cultivated atmosphere meant to invoke a more short-term sense of romance. Passion more than love.The music is heavy on the bass, the kind you can feel deep down. It's not overwhelming but it's ever present. And, as always, there are very pretty people dancing for entertainment.
Kate Pryde is holding court and keeping everything in order, ready to step in if there are any problems, and Steve Rogers will be behind the bar, mixing drinks and adding to the atmosphere.
There are plenty of couches for conversations, and quiet corners. There are also booths for groups to talk, and private rooms upstairs. Those do need permission, but are great if you really hit it off and want to be alone.
This is an 18 and over event due to the nature of the Hellfire Club.
PICK YOUR POISON
The bar of the club is fully stocked, and there are a few themed cocktails put together for the occasion. Expect a lot of pretty - and strong - red cocktails. Of course, you're welcome to get a martini or an old fashioned. Nobody's going to judge.There is an expectation that nobody will get sloppy, and while people are encouraged to enjoy themselves they won't be overserved. Consent is important, after all, and impaired consent is not consent.
Nobody under the age of 21 will be served. We don't care if there's no drinking age in your fairytale kingdom, there is one in the Hellfire Club. Mocktails will be served for those who can't drink.
LONELY HEARTS SINGLES MIXER
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin'...Wrong holiday.
But seriously. Mix. Mingle. Getting to know people is the order of the hour. This is a mixer for people to make connections - whether those be romantic or platonic. Sure you might not meet the love of your life, but you'll meet someone. Everyone who comes is encouraged to socialize with people. This isn't speed dating - it's certainly not organized that way - but it is a place for multiple social interactions.
Have conversations. Dance. Drink and be merry. Have a good time and don't dwell on the fact that you're single. Who knows? Soon you might not be.

Right. Well. Given it looks like I'm the last one left again the Jedi Temple will be open to the public. If you want to come meditate, or have group meditation, it can be arranged.
Lessons will also be had in: meditation (both moving meditation and regular), melee and hand to hand (beginner to advanced), force techniques (some can be adapted), and last but not least lightsaber training. Going to spoil some fun but; this is only available if you take a few classes of the advanced melee class. Not doubting anyone's capabilities with a sword, but 'sabers are vastly different. Don't need more people in the cool hand club, and you'll need to adjust to the difference.
If people want to join me in running, I go every (early) morning.

How's everyone's Spooktober going? I have had a wonderful Spook Season so far as Lamb has come out (haven't had the chance to see it yet, but soon! All reviews have come back saying 'what the fuck' and that is exactly what I hoped it would be), but the new Candyman reboot/relaunch/continuation has also come out, plus I've just read Mike Flanegan is doing Fall of The House of Usher.
Which means as Poe is in the public domain, he's stated that he can cherry-pick from the stories. Which means that I'm going to spend a lot of time looking for those little nods, and like my ghost watch for his other shows will get a spreadsheet going.
Apparently it's going to be vastly different from his usual, and I am here for this.
On other matters; as it's Spooktober all What The Ghost merchandise is half off, and proceeds still go towards the local animal shelter.
As a reminder for this Halloween Show we're talking about Poe ourselves, in honor of the writer and the upcoming show, so be sure to tune in for me and Jon discussing our favorite stories, and the ones that aren't too wildly known. Also, for those of us who don't know what Halloween is, we've discussed a bit about its history and traditions, so I am happy to provide the links to those shows if you'd like them.

I saw some pumpkins for sale, so this obviously means Spooky Season is officially begun. (No judgement, Christmas keeps creeping up closer and closer.) Which means that not only do I start my annual watch list (including the new movies coming out), I've also begun decorating.
But in other news, my new merch finally came in. We have; stickers, patches, shirts and sweaters (all in small, medium, large, and extra large), and the very much important little ghost plush. And because I don't really need the extra money, proceeds will go to both the SPCA (as someone claimed by a cat when I went to look in my local one, it's only fair) and other various charitable organizations. If you have something and would like donations, let me know.

As ever, the A24 studio delivers a resounding sense of what the fuck. If only in trailer form. If you too like wondering, do watch the trailer for Lamb. Supposedly, it's based on an Icelandic Folk Tale (which would make me question things, but really England has its fair share of weird tales, so you do you Iceland).
Which does mean I've blocked off the days of its release. I'll invite anyone who likes to come with me, but I know myself and I'd suggest for only the first sitting as I'll more than likely see it again, but will take notes. I'm told it can get annoying if I keep scribbling.
On that note, even though I have my degree and the thought of going back to uni makes me make faces, I'm still going to. I don't actually have any real knowledge of filmography, or camera work, and if I plan to go on about it, I should know what I'm talking about.

I have an opening at the Paradox if anyone is looking for a job. One of my workers is gone and we're doing more business and I worry about everyone else getting burned out. They're good employees. They don't deserve that.
I've also been working on some new recipes for pastries so I could use some taste testers.
