Waitstaff, a cook, another bartender or two and some more bouncer wouldn't hurt. We've never run a bar before but we're doing alright.

Well, now this is not where I expected to end up after waking up this morning. Captain Peggy Carter, looking for anyone else who knows me.

We're just about to when everyone starts decorating for Halloween, so a public service announcement:

Do not go to the creepy occult bookstore for inspiration, don't buy a dusty old book written primarily in Latin, and definitely do not draw any of the symbols if you ignore my advice and do the first two. Especially don't draw any of the symbols in blood -- human or otherwise.

You know there was a time when my friends and I had to be careful during the full moon. It always caused us to behave oddly, and let's just say that I'm very glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. I couldn't say what changed, but after a while, it was like we were immune to it.

So in the spirit of not covering my windows for the night, I'm going to check out the harvest festival this evening!

Have to say I am a fan of cheesecake.

Not so much celery? It tastes like something from the food synthesizer on the Falcon. Which is to say nothing - it tastes like nothing. And it's stringy.

But cheesecake is amazing. How much is too much? Also, forever open to suggestion for new things.

Is anyone going to karaoke tomorrow that might want to do a duet? I'm looking forward to just letting go. No, that is not a pun to hint I will be singing that.

I was just asked to file a police report on a stolen ice cream cone. That sounds like the punchline to a joke, I know. It's not.

What I wouldn't give for an actual case to work.

How's everyone else's Wednesday going?

Inspired by the pen I want but can't afford (no, I'm not linking it because someone will buy it and then I'll feel weird about expensive gifts) - if you suddenly found yourself with an unlimited bank account, what's the most ridiculous thing you'd buy?

I've been thinking about taking a class or two at NVCC. Is anyone else enrolled? And if so, is it really as weird as it looks?

I saw some pumpkins for sale, so this obviously means Spooky Season is officially begun. (No judgement, Christmas keeps creeping up closer and closer.) Which means that not only do I start my annual watch list (including the new movies coming out), I've also begun decorating.

But in other news, my new merch finally came in. We have; stickers, patches, shirts and sweaters (all in small, medium, large, and extra large), and the very much important little ghost plush. And because I don't really need the extra money, proceeds will go to both the SPCA (as someone claimed by a cat when I went to look in my local one, it's only fair) and other various charitable organizations. If you have something and would like donations, let me know.

The view from up here is quite splendid today! This is the kind of magical mischief I don't mind.

I am really writing with a serious request, however. This should have been my last year at school, and while I do think that finishing my education properly is the right thing to do, there is no appropriate establishment here in which I might do so. I would instead like to engage one or more private tutors, in the following subjects:

Magical Theory
Latin
Arithmancy
Astronomy

Potions
Charms
Transfiguration
Magical Duelling

For each subject you took up, we would meet for an hour or two once a week, and you would if you wished set me preparatory work to complete between those meetings.

My stipulations are that you do not have a dislike of young people, and that you will not ask or expect me to use any muggle machines or inventions as a part of my studies. I shall promise to be a responsible and diligent senior student and not to indulge in magical pranks or anything of that sort. And of course you would be suitably recompensed for your time and effort.

Do write if you are interested.

For the first time, I think I got lucky. The things that I saw were things I used to see all the time in my dreams. It was terrifying but I'm used to that. At least they went away when I went to sleep for a change.

Someone should throw a We Survived Another Bout of Shenanigans party. We deserve pizza.

Good evening! I hope you don't find it too strange for me to write. I promised Miss Hawke I would inform her if certain people arrived here, and truthfully I never expected it to happen, but I saw him today. The man responsible for a great deal of awful things. He knows where I'm staying and he said that he meant to kill me and he wouldn't be quick about it. If you see a man in a dark robe with a mask on in the hall, please stay out of his way. He is, unfortunately, very skilled in magic.

Did you see Miss Bell's message about the Death Eater? I think I know the man. He's here for me. It's a very long and unpleasant story, but whatever you do, don't open your door to him. I shall have to leave for a while, I think.

Did you see Miss Bell's message about the Death Eater? I saw him too. His name is Robert Wilkes and he is here to take revenge on me. It's...rather complicated, but it relates to James Potter and what happened in that other place. If you encounter him, it is probably best that you say you did not know I was here.

Look, I don't know who exactly I saw, but I guess that's the point of them, but there's one of them here, a Death Eater. They walked right past the Pancake House, but by the time I made it outside, they were gone.
