Hey, so I have a great idea. I think we should all get together and grab dinner.

So Gwen and I were talking, has V tried s'mores? Because we're thinking s'mores and a movie.

Okay so like.. there's this fun game to play with friends to get to know each other better and stuff, it's called two truths and a lie. Basically the rules are you get to say three wild and crazy things about yourself in any order; two are true and one is made up.

The goal of the game is to guess which one is the lie for other people while hoping it takes the others a few rounds to guess your lie.


I'll go first as an example:

🕸️ My first Halloween trick or treating I went as a unicorn astronaut space princess.
🕸️ I still own a bunch of Beanie Babies from my tween years.
🕸️ I once hopped dimensions just to get a pair of handcuffs off.

Well I started my day off finding an egg. Do I need to keep it warm? Am I a mom now? Do I have to start wearing mom jeans?

I don't want to call it 'it', so maybe Rebel? That's a good neutral name, right?

Or maybe it's one big promotion for AC.

So.... Did anyone else just have Gangnam Style stuck in their head for a hot second? I thought we left that back in 2012.

Okay so like... finding a rhythm to Sappho's Hymn the Invocation of Aphrodite is super hard. And I feel like it would really take away from the hymn-y part if I tried to do it? It's really beautiful (I mean, duh) and everyone should read it here since Valentine's Day is coming up and it could be inspirational.

So, you know, rather than ruin that with drumming I figured this Lady Gaga & Aphrodite Ariana Grande song would be nice and fun.

I'm not the greatest singer. I really only do backup vocals in the Mary Janes and I think that's technically just shouting - but I can drum! Pretty sure the only people here who've seen me drum have been Luke, Eddie, and Kate? It's definitely been a while since I've had any kind of show or even real band practice but I've been playing a lot more lately.

So um, any way.. I'd like to dedicate this super cool pop-y session to Aphrodite.... I really hope you like it! Do you like drums? Please say yes
