Show of hands, how many others here are single parents who spend most of their time socializing with the pre-preschool crowd? For those that can say 'yes' -- any interest in, perhaps, a weekly play group where the kids can entertain each other and we can have real, adult conversation?

Well, August was definitely A Month.

I would like to thank everyone who pitched in to help during whatever that whole thing was (did we figure out a cause, or are we filing it under General Night Vale Weirdness?); however dispirate our origins, we're all stuck in the same boat.

The Night Vale Clinic remains open; please don't hesitate to seek our help if you need it, even if all you're really after is a cup of tea and a sympathetic ear. Alternatively, Chauncy the Very Small Bear is an excellent and incredibly soft listener (although not a great conversationalist) and can usually be found at The Black Emporium. I think I remember seeing we've a couple of Actual Therapists in our ranks so if that's you please consider this an open platform to advertise from.

How are you feeling now? Up to taking a look at something for me? It's kind of urg not particularly urgent.

I was kind of hoping that the fight club would be good for some therapy. Turns out I am really only good at fighting one asshole in particular..

But I never got along very well with my therapists back home. I never could get them to believe me and it's hard to be open when you always feel invalidated. But maybe it's time to try again. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

i can't move my right arm higher than my chest. i genuinely think i'm having a heart attack in my 20s. is that even possible? who knows. not me.

The biggest problem with having a dissociative disorder in this place is the fact I'm never really sure if it's the disorder or this place that's making me disassociate.

I know it's been a rough couple of weeks with a lot of disappearances, so I just wanted to put it out there: if anyone would like to come in and sit down for a friendly chat, I have plenty of room on my schedule. Especially since some of my patients have gone home

So I know everyone's got their things and there's fight club and bake offs and what have you but here's a new thing. Anyone interested in a non-competitive, beer all night bowling league? I never thought bowling would be my thing but I spend so much time at the bowling alley that now I'm like, sure, why not? Maybe I'll charm the pins and balls to glow in the dark or sparkle or something.

Could we possibly reschedule our session?

Finally decided on teaching youth gymnastics at the local YMCA. Classes start tomorrow at 3:30pm and will probably wrap up at 5pm, so if anyone has kids they'd like to sign up, let me know and I'll add them to the roster. Probably looking at twice a week, maybe three if the kids take to it.

That's a pretty easy gig, though, so.. Might actually look into the school's gym classes if anyone knows anything about vacancies?
