The hospital prom was an amazing success, and some of you volunteers certainly made an impression. I've had several of the teens in D&D group ask if you're coming back, Wade, and the displays Billy and Peter put on were FANTASTIC and awe inspiring. I can't wait for next year's prom already.

NEXT up on my agenda is final prep for Pride in the Park, which is taking place from the 17th-20th this year if anyone wants to come. Besides chairing the committee to put this on, I'm also heading up the new and improved kids' art tent. We're doing sand paintings to take pictures of at the event, or sand art jars to take home so the kids can make the flag they like, or design one of their own, beaded flag pins with the same idea, friendship bracelets and, for the littler kids, hand print designs, or tissue paper rainbows. ...Obviously there's a lot of adults running this tent, yeah. It looks for the moment like I'm on sand art or jewelry duty, which sound be fun and at least a little bit not messy. The cupcake and cookie painting section of the food tent on the other hand scares me just a little...

We're also including an opening parade for the first time ever, and it's going to be great. I'm super excited to see what the event's become from all those years ago when Tony first showed me the group and people. It feels awesome being part of something so amazing. Just like with prom, it's nice to do something important that helps people again. I've missed that. I've missed it a LOT...

I just looked at the calendar at our last meeting and I realized that our first Children's Hospital Prom is a week from Saturday. Obviously we've had a countdown and the kids have been invited and the people coordinating wardrobes have had them around, or brought things around for them to choose, the ones who aren't able to leave the hospital at all, and hired entertainment (One of the kids here has a band an they're really good) and everything is perfectly on track, but somehow between this and prep for Pride In The Park, I hadn't EMOTIONALLY realized how close it all was.

I'm excited. I know what it's like to miss your prom because you're either too sick or haven't spent time with enough people to feel comfortable going because of how much of your school year you've missed from being sick, and being able to give these kids something of the experience really does mean...just about everything.

So has all the help we've had come in, but that said, I do have a semi last minute request here.

Since this isn't attached to a high school or anything, and some of the doctors, nurses, techs and other volunteers aren't able to make it on the night of, either for work or covering for chaperones or...something, is there anyone willing to be a last minute chaperone?

The kids all range from 14-20, since we wanted to include the young adults still here, who haven't had a chance for prom, and they're pretty amazing. It should be a pretty low key night, really, just keeping an eye on things and drinking punch and sneaking around like Professor Snape in Goblet of Fire, trying to bust couples who are making out behind the conference room podiums or projection screens or...whatever. ...I'm joking. Mostly.

We've got a set up and clean up crew looking for a couple extra people as well, and if anyone wants to help with the prep rooms for the kids, we're sending a couple beauticians who could use a couple extra hands to handle the simple stuff, like make-up or hair styles or zipping dresses and putting some last minute frills on IV poles or wheelchairs.

Let me know if you could help, please? It's totally okay if you can't, but I figured it was worth asking anyway.

I know I been silent for a while, but I am still lurking around. Whether it being at Doctor Strange's Citadel, my place, hanging out with the boys and Raven, Maybe one boy in particular and my brother. I find the latter brings me much joy and happiness. I have yearned to be untied with Pietro for a long time. I am just glad he is here. I worry he may disappear again though. This place is odd so maybe it finally listened to me?


I'm happier than I was when I first got here, and that Is saying something. Though there is someone here that I find myself drawn to. I am too scared to ask him if he feels the same. Its been a long time since I've wanted to dive into this dating thing again so I am scared if I let myself love, it will be ripped under me. I wish I knew how to tell him I feel. Maybe I'll get lucky and he feels the same?

I think I need to go to my favorite spot by the water. Come find me if you want to join me.

So what do you guys do for fun around here anyway? I didn't see any arcades and all the cool game stuff is on systems I've never heard of before, which is cool, I guess. Even If my high score in pac-man is gone forever.
