Mentions cancer

Okay, it really sucks when you're looking at clumps of your hair in the sink. Any that had started to grow back is gone again due to the chemo. I honestly am tired of dealing with all of this, and having to wear a handkerchief to hide my head. I'm just not a baseball cap kind of guy. I suppose I should be grateful that I'm still here to complain about it.

In my few weeks here, I have come to the conclusion, so far as I've been able, that humanity is much the same across entire universes, as it is across the ages. But, be that as it may, I cannot help but wonder whether that boils down to the idea we share experiences, in the broadest sense, that we must all hold fast to some key tenants of human nature and emotion, or if it goes still deeper than our previously examined mind is ready to accept or understand.

As one man holds fast to hope for a reunion, or another to the hope of new beginnings with the loved ones we have left behind, what is it that binds us to these same aspects of existence, even in a world where one's physicality is challenged or even changed? Is our universal sameness quite the same in any other universe, and do all of our old rules hold sway?

Or is that we have been put here, instead, to challenge our assumptions, to seek, and find the changes in new worlds in the hope that we might grow and change ourselves?

And God forbid, if timing is no issue, might those from our pasts, however long ago they are, follow us here at last?

One thing is certain, all the same. At least I look forward to finding out.

Right.

Might someone be able to point me in the direction of some clothing? Or a towel?

Abe, if you happen to be about, or anyone with trousers I might borrow, I've found myself along the East Hudson and I don't fancy being arrested or sectioned again. Those do get rather old after the first dozen times.
