A difficult one. Neith has been asking about her birth parents and if I was somehow her birthfather the entire time, and had to prove it to the government because we were in different places when she was born, or was separated from her before then. She understands now that I became her father later on, but still wondered a few things:

1. What happened to her birth parents before I met her?

2. Why she doesn’t have a mother or an extra father now?

3. Can we make her Auntie Cassie her mother?

…So many questions! She reminds me very much of Khemu, who would have loved a sister, and I like to think that Ay… That AMUNET would be laughing if she were here. And to wonder for myself if there would ever be a way for us to find our way again, or barring that, for me to love another someday.

This is an…interesting age.

I've done the thing I swore I never would and I graduated at New Years. Roman too, and I may or may not have sired another childe. Long strange story THERE, I fear.

BEST DAY EVER!

Today was Ollie's birthday, so I skivved off class and we went to DISNEYWORLD, and we saw a baby giraffe at the safari ride and I didn't get to pet the tigers but there were tigers and they were COOL. And my family met us at the rainforest cafe, which was the perfect mixture of cheesy and hilarious. We got to sit next to a hippo that roared every time they ran the show and we worked out the timing PERFECTLY, which made my sister laugh hysterically. We got the place to humiliate him by singing loudly, and it was kind of awesome.

And then other...birthday events may or may not have occurred, whilst clad in the most appropriate birthday attire. >.>

FAR better way to spend today than in Philosophy or Chem Lab....

This position of authority thing is going...strangely well, actually. Not QUITE a surprise considering I DID have the Rooks and spent years coordinating my people in London but, I still never imagined I'd be here, like this, doing this, particularly when my sister and the most responsible, most boring man in the brotherhood both gave it up freely. Felt a little like a prank, and sure, it's early days but...I think I'm doing it.

...So, Roman called me Dad. It's been that way for me since almost the time I met him, so I'm glad he's settled on the fact. He's been mine for most of the time we've been here, after all, so, stands to reason, right?

im getting one of the two smartest apprentices of the curent lot, I mean he’s a research historian, who’s done lab work when hes off probation at year end and sure hed help but it’s a wee bit awkward having him see how dumb i am early on. were already going from awkward since he does have a history with an ex of mine and some of our lots woried I’ll be bias and i dont want him to worry about it since hes amazing and hell be as good as my thea in no time and i dont wanna look dumb yet anyway.

So any takers? Ill pay. Just too stupid to learn to fix it myself and all. ive got good marks if it wasn’t for this so i just need to make you make things readable yeah?

Things I badly want to make happen tonight, a list:

1. Find a way to get what that demon did to The Girl a few years ago out of her head (and actually assure her that I don't blame her for my injury back then, and that she's been more than forgiven, long ago, and needs to quit self flagilating).

2. Dispose of him myself, once and for all, or even better, let my apprentices dispose of him, with help to make it painful. I get it was a while ago, and it's not good to stir up shit, but you don't hurt my kids, any of them.

3. Remind The Boy and The Other Girl, the non magical one, that I know perfectly well when they're swapping spit in his room.

4. Door Dash Chicken Pad Thai.

I hate it when I wake up in the middle of the night and think he's there, and he still has me in his thrall, or has that shadow over everything, then I can't sleep and my arm throbs like he's just snapped it over and...

My birthday is today. So, you know what that means! Birthday Orgy at my villa tonight starting at 6pm.

I just accepted the direction for the rest of my life, one that's bigger than almost anything else. It's bigger than uni, bigger than trying to get into the vetinary programme, bigger than anything but choosing Ollie and eventually getting engaged when we're out of school and married someday.
