He made us leave to fight that thing but my friends and Morgan got me home then she and Uncle Cal took me to get an x-ray and the splint then he called Da at work and I think almost everyone came but I know Uncle Hari didn’t because we’re all in this unspoken agreement that he’s not to get involved until an injury’s been treated.

It’s my fault and I’ve not heard from Stephen since he told me to get the others and get out, and if that thing has harmed him... I don’t think I like this anymore.

From what my brother says, my cousin who has just arrived from home's about as skittish as he was, in different ways, toward our family at least. And yet she seems to have made just a bit of progress after we went round the shops today.

I DID have to convince her to steer clear of leather clothing shops, because they're not the sort of leather bodices and corsets that she wore at home, and instead something totally inappropriate for a lass of fifteen to try, and told her I'd explain it later, if I find a reasonable way to begin.

...Is this how Aedan feels trying to keep me out of pubs, then? Even if I'm seventeen next month?

Seeing as I've made a new mate who arrived here with not a lot of clothes or other things and she's currently my roomie and we've found out that a lot of my shirts and shoes don't quite work for her, even if she CAN squeeze into the skirts and trousers and such, we're looking to find her some things all her own to wear.

And since it's more fun to go shopping in groups, would anyone here care to join us on a trip to a few places? As we CAN go anywhere in the world pretty quickly, you can imagine the places that we COULD go.

And we could definitely have lunch and maybe manipedis too?

Since I've done my school leaving exams this year, and Morgan's not enrolled anywhere yet, and it IS summer besides, we could do it any time and all.

It's been some time since I've last been here. I've been doing a LOT of trotting about and reading and practising and cleaning and...

Not that I quite know who Doctor Strange's "April" is, and it's not as though he's the type to realise he's done it and panic and freak out, and obviously he cared about her, but...

What happens when you're in love with someone, quite a lot, but they aren't here, and then you meet someone perfectly lovely who is, even if they're a bit older than you, and you just want them to notice you and to feel as amazing as you do around them always? Is that...okay? It's not disloyal to love somebody else is it? CAN you fall in love over a couple hours spent together?

And then, as if the skies themselves had parted with its power, came the vast thunderbolt of family drama. Learned a fair few things this morning when I tried to slip down for breakfast, including why my uncle doesn't use my name, why he and my other uncle have been tiptoeing round each other since the second got here, and how far removed from their lives my da really was. Seems my grandparents were even bigger arses than he ever let on for not speaking ill of the dead, and...

I don't know. I have got to get out of here before I explode I think, or light something new on fire.

...Maybe Da was right about us needing something like a real life Hogwarts here, or at the least someone or something that can shield me when it gets to be too much.

Is that like giving up, to say I can't handle my magic? Time was it would be begging to be made Tranquil, advertising the fact and I don't know I want that, but I do want a life, you ken?

Either way, the Vael Family Theatre's not helping, really. Someone have some ideas I could use to center myself while the tension runs too thick?

School is lame. I mean, really lame. I don't know why I'm even still going, except Daddy won't let me drop out and get my GED.

I don't know what the fuck happened, but somehow I managed to get myself SUSPENDED. HOW THE FUCK DID THAT HAPPEN?

So much school and shit I missed back home, I was never suspended.

My life is utter shite. School was bloody horrible, but all anybody cared about was how I'm failing history and gym until I got expelled today because I set the guidance counselor's office on fire, and now I don't know WHAT I'm going to do because nobody notices or cares about anyone but my bloody brother.

He's got his problems, don't get me wrong, but nobody'll let me try explaining what I did, and they're going to get police involved, and it isn't my fault there was a fire and a couple computers got destroyed, and then, on top of that, I couldn't go to the movies with my friends tonight, because no one will listen and we'd wanted to see Beauty and the Beast for MONTHS, but they're all making me stay in my room because they only care about yelling at me, instead of seeing all the awesome things that I've been doing, and it's JUST NOT FAIR AND I HATE EVERYTHING!!!! ARRRGH

I need to do something, soon.
