Hester and Me've been talking a lot lately about this, and we're thinking we'd like to apply to look after a kid or two who needs a place to stay. Not sure how hard it's gonna be, but the more I think about it, more the idea seems...well, like it's the right thing to do.

Funny I'd have never thought I'd be the guy who wanted to have kids around before but...Lyra changed me, and I'm hoping that was for the better. I think I'd make a decent big brother or uncle sort of a thing, and all. I've got great built in help.

...Can people in your world be allergic to daemons? Never thought to ask but if a kid's allergic to hares or the Family Leporidae that'd be a real sort of an issue, against them coming to stay here, wouldn't it?

Lots to think about as things build up for...say how DO your version of holidays work out here? I'm guessing things are different but closer than they'd seem? Someone wanna fill us in?

((OOC: For those not familiar with fandom, Hester IS audible and visible to other people. This isn't a Harvey/Donnie Darko situation going on here. She's also in the shape of a normal hare so...yeah.))

"People say this holiday's about honoring your version of the Almighty, but does that mean that he's a bunny? Settled as a bunny? Are rabbits just especially honored on this day, and do hares by extension count for this? Do *I* count since I'm settled as a hare?"

"What I'm gettin' at here's mostly...should Lee be getting ME a basket? You don't expect me to go laying eggs in that basket now do you? Hiding them? Somebody want to help a body out here?"

"The lady HAS got questions...If there's anyone fixin' to answer us, drop us a line or say hello or somethin'? We'll be here all afternoon."

[There's a break and a low, but distinctly feminine voice in the background.]

[There's the voice again, and some muffled back and forth for a second, then something like "ASK the nice people, Lee.". And he's definitely engaged in a conversation with someone else, here, along with the recording.]

[When he comes back the voice is louder again, and quite clear.]

You've got these things that let you talk to a whole group of people just like it's an instant telegram, but I don't suppose you'd have the parts for helping a stranded aeronaut and daemon to fix up an airship, would you?
