Can we talk for a second about how I really, really don't mean to come off like an ass when I have to tell people not to pet my dog while we're out and about? Out of his harness is one thing. It means we're relaxing and he can play and take some chill time, but usually if we're out on the street and he's in clearly labeled gear? He's working and I need to be able to rely on his instincts to hear the stuff I can't.

I get people love dogs and want to put them, but he's my only set of seriously functioning ears and I really, really do rely on them to know when I can head into an area, or when something's wrong, etc. I'm not trying to be a selfish ass, we're both trying to keep me functioning, you know?

who knew with kids Christmas would be too busy for adult celebrating- and not the naughty kind. And then the new year. Just hell- wish it could have just the adults, my wives and husbands for a while.

I think..... oh I think I have a problem.

The last few days have been...impossible, nearly. I remind myself I've been through harder, but I doubt that much is true now that I know what I do. I've been able to transfer the demanded ransom for my son, at least, the financial portion. The bit where I am being asked to provide political influence for issues to do with Scotland's position politically, is so much harder to accomplish and, so far, it's involved pressuring a lot of actual officials in this world, using my position as the Prince of a country who is exiled here, and not by choice.

It's...not gone so well, but I hope that by providing proof that I am working towards this, I can buy some time. At least today I've been offered a Skype with them, and Aedan, so that I can see he IS alive. I don't suppose a location trace can be set out from there? Would all of those of you who have been willing to help meet me near the time of said call, tomorrow in the early morning hours?
