Has anyone else had to explain a religion or faith that is not known, for whatever reason, in this world to someone here? I am led to understand that faith is only as large of an issue as one chooses to make it when speaking to most health professionals, but with the mental health sort, is there a chance my son and I will end up being thought of as worse off than we are if Andraste and the Maker enter our conversations?

On the positive side, we ARE finally seeing someone tomorrow. I'm a bit alarmed that 'emergency' appointments seem to be scheduled over a week after I first started making contact but gift horses, and he's meant to be one of the best for traumatized young people, so I realize we were very lucky to have got in as we did. The sooner Aedan's heart is on its way to mending, the better, anyway.

Now, just wish me luck getting the boy to agree he'll come along with me, since I don't see myself physically dragging a fifteeen year old even with the help of the Devices, and I don't see bribing him with ice cream afterwards working either. Cross your fingers for us will you?

Hoping things are looking up, at least.
