Welcome to Night Vale

Attention Night Vale residents.

We have been receiving reposts since yesterday of a large man in a hockey mask wielding a machete and menacing people, and also occasionally murdering them. We don't have much information but we do know he has been seen around town, according to witnesses, just "all over the place". So...keep that in mind when making your weekend plans. No telling yet what this means for Sunday's farmer's market, but maybe take the week off.

City Council insists that nobody has died, while other sources indicate several people might have died. As many as 20. But considering this is Night Vale, it really could be any number. We can't say for sure how long this whole serial killer thing might last, but we do advise you to be careful. Maybe just pretend really hard he doesn't exist and he'll choose to share in this fallacy.

I saw the guy with the hockey mask when I was throwing out the garbage last night. I shot him, but it didn't seem to bother him, so I would be careful. I really thought this place would be safer, but I guess there's no escaping the weird.

You know, it dawned on me today that the end of next month will mark my year of being here in Night Vale. Time really did fly by! It's weird, but not in a bad way. This place is constantly being weird, but I have to admit that this place really has started to feel like home for me.

What are some things you love most about this place?

I know it's cliche, but for me, it's the people I've met here that I otherwise wouldn't have back home.
