I want to apologize again to everyone who's had trouble with their post this week. The owls have been out of sorts since the influx of visitors to the village last week, and I'm afraid it's had an unfortunate effect on the business of the Owlery. Please know that I'm working to get things settled again, but it is an ongoing process. I expect the Owlery to be back to regular working order by the weekend. I hope.

Out of pure curiosity, how many Hogsmeade residents are familiar with the basics of football?

I'm thinking of putting together a charity match, if enough people know how to play. And I've only just realised it's the World Cup this year! It's a pity the Three Broomsticks can't have a telly but maybe we could do a pool anyway, like they're running for the Quidditch. Is there any way to get muggle radio stations on a wireless here?

I've been thinking about it since dinner, and I have notes everywhere. I really hope no Ministry officials feel like checking out Willing Wands this week, because my back room looks like I'm planning some kind of football-based world domination.

I can't believe it! The Wanderers actually came back from the series and won against the Bats! I hoped they would, but I didn't know how realistic that was going to be, since the Bats are a very good team. I'm so proud of Wigtown!

Playoffs are busier than the regular season. So much busier.

My voice has grown hoarse enough that I'm on strict orders from the station not to speak until the game starts tonight. (And thank Merlin and all the Founders that there's only one game scheduled instead of two.) You don't realize how often you talk during the day until told not to.

Tracey had spent a good part of the last few weeks with Gwendolyn and Isabel making sure that the cocktail party officially unveiling the business owners' group. Attendees were invited to Foxglove, whose patio was now open, and in the cool spring air, with sparkling drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Tracey took the floor half an hour after the evening began to explain the details of the chamber, and how it would work: a small annual membership fee that would go towards chamber activities, events that would be balanced across business training, cross-promotion events, and so on. It took less than half an hour, and once it ended, everyone was allowed to mingle.
