Seems like I didn't get any time off since I spent all of Monday and Tuesday working on the patio at Fromage and putting in a garden. I'm exhausted and it was a bit more expensive than I'd planned but I really think it's looking nice. I've still got to finish the lighting but that shouldn't take too long.

I'm so glad it's starting to finally feel like summer!

The Ministry popped in for a visit today to see how my business has been progressing. I was all frazzled and couldn't remember what folder I had my health certifications in at first. And then one of my food cost spreadsheets was misplaced. To top it off, I was understaffed because my Sous-Chef started showing signs of Dragon Pox this morning and I had to get him out of the kitchen immediately.

Needless to say, it could have gone better. And now I need a new Sous-Chef.

I popped into Honeydukes today for sugarquills but somehow ended up with a hand full of chocolate frogs instead. You'd think I got enough chocolate at work, but I was feeling nostalgic I suppose because I collected the cards when I was younger. Did anyone else?

One of the cards I got was for Andros the Invincible. Hadn't seen that one in ages. I forgot that his patronus was said to be the size of a giant. Don't you think it would take a lot of magic to make a patronus that big? I struggle enough with--

I've been thinking of adding a spicier fondue option to the menu. Something with jalapeƱos, tomatoes and onion would work well I think. Would there be any interest in that? Or should I add another dessert?

[Warded to Fromage's Fwoopers]
As James already said, I'd love to have the team over at Fromage and celebrate your first match of the season coming. Would Friday or Saturday work better for everyone?

I look forward to watching you all play and know you'll do a great job representing Fromage!

Can't say I've ever been more exhausted or happy in my life. The first full week at Fromage was quite a success -- thank you to everyone who came. Overall, I think things went smoothly, and it will only get better with time.

Now for two well deserved days of rest and relaxation. Fromage will open again on Wednesday!

[Warded to James]
I've the next two days free. Care to grab a meal or coffee? Feels like it's been ages with how busy I've been.

[Warded to Susan]
I don't believe I'll be attending the Knitting Circle in the future... what's another hobby we can work on?

Everyone be sure to read the Hogsmeade Herald tomorrow and look for Fromage's ad. There will be a voucher you can use this opening weekend. I'll be opening for dinner service on Friday night at 5pm.

It's finally happening and it's all very surreal. Next person to I see, please pinch me so I know this isn't a dream.

[Warded to Hufflepuffs]
I still can't think you enough for all the help you've been to me. If any of you need a favor, don't hesitate to ask.

[Warded to Susan]
Would you like to go to the knitting circle tomorrow? With everyone's help yesterday, I'm ahead of schedule and feeling much better about the open. A night off would do me a world of good.

So something weird happened after brunch on Sunday and I've been trying to make sense of it all these past few days, but I just can't. James kissed me. I don't feel that way about him though. Nor do I think he feels that way about me. So why did he do it?

P.S. Congratulations again on the engagement. I know I told you already, but I'm so excited for you.

I hope I've got this journal working correctly. I'm not sure who it is all connected to, but hello! I've only just moved to Hogsmeade and am still unpacking boxes in my flat. At least I've got the essentials out: bedding and the kettle. Should tide me over until tomorrow at least.

Any recommendations on where I should go for breakfast? Not sure where to buy groceries just yet.

[Warded to Hufflepuffs]
I feel so lost here. Help!

If anyone hears uncontrollable sneezing from above, you'll know you've passed by the Abbott abode, happy home to every speck of dust in the entire county. After a long morning of filling out paperwork and holding a smile for hours on end, I had hoped moving in would be a frustration-free experience.

No such luck.

To those who don't know, I'm Hannah and I'll be the new medical assistant at Woodcroft. As much as I'd like to chat, I hope I don't run into too many of you there anytime soon. I'd hate our first meeting to be you writhing in pain as I try to admit you. And as much as I'd like my very first day to be slow and simple, I've already been owled a list of meetings and appointments. It looks like there won't be any wading in to the position, it's hit the ground running or fall flat on your face.

Since it would be nice to have a halfway decent flat put together before the first day on the job, it looks like there won't be any time to laze around. If someone has a functioning kettle and doesn't mind a lung-full of dust, feel free to stop by for a cuppa! We need to get this five person meet and greet out of the way sometime, right?
