I'm genuinely curious and would like to take a poll for personal research in order to determine if this is a common event and whether it's sackable behaviour:

1) Who on these journals has ever been involved in a legitimate duel that was not related to any wars? Just, you know, dueling for honour's sake and everything.

2) If you have engaged in a duel for your honour, where did the duel take place? For example -- your home, their home, an open field, your place of employment, etc.

3) Have you ever accidentally hit another person (who was not involved in your duel) with one of your spells? In particular, did you hit the other person in the face?

I don't know why people are so willing to believe what they read. I've been receiving owls from Wagtail fangirls about how I better not leave my 'profoundly harmonious throuple' (their phrase, not mine; I can promise you that) and get off with Wagtail, as he's theirs.

Oh, and I'm not in a throuple; that's not even a word.

A bowtruckle? It doesn't make sense; I've not been near any trees recently, nor has my table, which I've had for months! But there it is, right in my dining room table, and now I've got scratches on my face because I set my plate right on it.

I can officially corroborate Ritchie's report of green water in the village. It doesn't seem to be harmful to the touch, but I'd recommend no one ingest it until we know what sort of magic's been applied to the water. There are many spells I wouldn't want to unknowingly ingest.

It looks like we're moving forward with our plans to expand the content featured in Countdown!. While the focus will still be news and politics, especially those stories that touch on the continued revitalisation of Britain's Wizarding World, we will be looking to tie in more current events and human interest stories as well.

How is it already December? And apparently I've got to work Christmas Eve. It's not preferred in the slightest, but I want to keep this job at least I've got the holiday itself off. And we're doing the broadcast earlier on the 24th, at least.

As a result of all of this, I was wondering if anyone else has got plans to stay in the village for the holiday. Some sort of dinner night be nice. Are any of the dining establishments doing something?

I was supposed to move in two days from now, but I decided there wasn't much holding me back from coming sooner so I'm here. Similarly, I'm meant to begin at the WWN on Monday, but perhaps I can get started tomorrow.

I think I've got my flat sorted out as best as it'll ever be, so a walk around the village to familiarise myself might be in order.
